Catherine was an incredible host, upon arrival she greeted us with a lovely hone made soup and warm bread rolls. The accomodation exceeded all our expectations, the room is beautifully decorated and could grace cover of a Scandinavian magazine. Gorgeous space, clean, comfortable and everything is new. To our surprise Catherine provided an incredible breakfast which was an added bonus. I can honestly say i was blown away with the accomodation and the hospitality. The outlook is very relaxing, private bushland provides serenity. Place is very private while amazing beaches are only a 5 minute drive. Catherine and Ragnar are incredible artists so I would especially recommend this place for artists or aspiring artists as they have a wealth of knowledge and are only too happy to share. My only regret was not having more time to stay longer, but I'm sure i will be back.

I highly recommend staying with Catherine. The space is private, lovely and welcoming, her breakfasts are worth driving a far distance for and she is delightful to get to know. The location is ideal for day trips, birding, hiking, sightseeing and whale watching. This is one of the nicest airbnb experiences we have had.

Cath is such a lovely host and so welcoming. Her home is set in the most tranquil fern filled rainforest like setting on a very private property on a residential street with other large properties. This makes the place a very private, green and hidden natural setting to chill out in. Certainly worth 2 or three nights stay. The room is very much as pictured, modern, spacious quite and hidden away on the lower ground floor. The bed was so comfortable and he sitting area was perfect for quietly reading a book, selected from the shelves. The shower and bathroom are yours and were immaculate and modern. Cath was so generous and had provided me a super because I was arriving late, for a nominal extra cost which was great. Breakfast was included and was very healthy and wonderfully presented by Cath. The good conversation was an added extra bonus. I could have sat for a good portion of the morning chatting over coffee with you Cathy. In short, you won't regret booking a stay here, in fact you'll wish you'd had longer.

If we were to give this place 5 stars, to be fair, we would have to knock all other places down to at least 4. We were welcomed by Catherine to their beautiful home in Arakoon, nestled amongst the natural forest of Hat Head National Park. On walking in to the 'space', we found an amazing workshop that Ragnar and Catherine produce their art in (you'll have to visit to find out) and moved on through to our room for the evening; a mix of retro and ultra modern in a space full of natural lighting with views out in to the forest. We were then asked to fill in our breakfast menus as we were being invited up to breakfast in the morning! After a comfortable sleep and being awoke by the noises of native birds, we readied ourselves and headed up to breakfast. Catherine had laid out a table for us outside on their balcony overlooking the natural greenery and served up delicious omelettes and home made waffles (with Romme and jam), accompanied with coffee and fresh juice. Catherine and Ragnar then joined us and told us all about their lives and their art. Nearly two hours and a tour of the workshop later, we were off back on journey and sad in our hearts that we couldn't stay longer. Arakoon is an incredible part of the world but wouldn't have been anything if we had not been lucky enough to spend some time with Catherine and Ragnar. Thank you both so much. We can't wait to come and stay again!

We had the most amazing stay at Catherine's. The location is great (in the middle of Arakoon NP) and the house has the highest standard of comfort. Catherine was a top notch host, cooked a tasty breakfast and has many stories to tell about her passion for silversmithing. We strongly recommend this place and would love to come back!

We are both Designer/Makers and work from home. We make use of our beautiful environment by working in the garden, going for walks and swimming most days, weather permitting. We do as much travelling as we can, and have used Airbnb all over Australia and abroad.
