Available room in a two bedroom apartment. I am frequently traveling and you will likely have the entire apartment to yourself. The building is located on a beautiful tree-lined street within the Historic District of Greenpoint. Built in the late 1800s, it is designated as a NY State and NYC Landmark. Subway, Laundromat, Cafes, Shops, Wine Store, and Restaurants all within one block. Quick 15 minute Subway Ride into Manhattan.

The space

Enjoy your stay in this comfortable private room with lots of sunlight and a queen sized clean bed with fresh linens and towels and plenty of space to put your things in a big closet with shelves.

Located on the same block as the subway and 15 minutes into Manhattan.

I have lived in Brooklyn for many years and find this neighborhood perfect with great restaurants, bars and parks within walking distance.

Guest access

The apartment is charming with wood floors, a fully stocked kitchen, living room and dining area. Free high-speed 5G wifi and shared bathroom, shower has good pressure and consistently warm water.

Interaction with guests

I will help you to settle into the apartment when you arrive.

Caley was very nice and helpful. Her place is convenient, close to the subway and the ferry in a friendly neighborhood.

We are very disappointed. Very surprised there are 5 stars in each category. I don't understand. Her apartment doesn't have good conditions to live in. There is no ventilation in the room. There is no way to air it. The windows are blocked and the rooms are dirty and full of dust. The microwave doesn't work properly. The kitchen utensils are old and there are only a few of them. Everything in the kitchen is dirty too. There are also ants in the kitchen. The blow dry machine doesn't work. We had a lot of luggage with us at the end of our stay and we asked her to leave it at her apartment after the check out and pick it up later because it was rainning and we couldn't carry it and she wasn't flexible with it. Not good comunication overall. We didn't enjoy our 6 day stay at Caley's and I don't recommend it.

Response from Caley:
I always have positive interactions with my guests, however, Paula is the only person I did not leave a review for on Airbnb because she was not a good guest. I do not believe this guest is suited to using Airbnb and I see she has left other passive aggressive reviews for hosts. Most of her review is inaccurate. If she communicated any of these issues to me during her stay, they could have been immediately remediated. It seems she did not know how to open the windows in the bedroom, operate the microwave or blow drier. I am not aware of any ants in the apartment, and I keep it very clean and it is stocked with utensils and cookware. I almost always allow guests to drop their luggage off early before check in, or leave it for a while after they check out, unless there are extenuating circumstances. I also allowed Paula to drop her luggage at the apartment before she checked in while I still had other guests, but was not able to do so when they checked out. It is clear that my inability to allow her to keep her luggage after she checked out influenced her review.

Enjoyed getting to know a new neighborhood in Brooklyn that I had not known before. Lots of food and bar options within minutes. The subway is also very close as are bus options. Caley was super responsive and check-in/check-out worked great. People have option to use the kitchen (I didn't since I was out and about most of the time).

This apartment is very close to the river, only one block to the subway station. There are lots of shop and restaurant, very convenient. Caley is really nice, My planning time of arrival changed there times, but every time Caley said no problem at all. I am really appreciate. The apartment is clean and in a nice neighborhood. My mom and I own the hold apartment during the time we stay here. Everything is so great.

We loved staying at Caley's! Cute apartment and building, and located on a quiet, pretty street. Wonderful neighborhood. Caley was communicative and helpful, and generous with suggestions of things to do. I was on a work trip and only stayed two nights, but wish I had rented it for longer! Definitely will try to book this again for future Greenpoint visits.

I am finishing my PhD and I also teach at a local university. I am fluent in Spanish. I have lived in NYC for almost 10 years and I am very familiar with the city and different neighborhoods. I have hosted guests and been a guest at numerous properties on AirBnB. I love traveling and I enjoy providing a comfortable and hospitable place for people who stay with me.
