We loved staying at Camela, Vito and Nino's house. It was very clean and spacious for our family of 5. A beautiful garden which our youngest daughter especially loves as it was full of tortoises and kittens to discover. The highlight of our stay was definitly all the advice Nino gave us, the best towns and beaches to visit, local resturants etc. Nino also advised us on hiring a guide to take us up Mt Etna, Paulo was fantstic! (URL HIDDEN) Thankyou again xxx

We have just come home to Denmark after 12 wonderful days in Acireale at Nino’s place. The first thing to say is that this has been an extraordinarily authentic experience. The unique house, the green relaxing garden, and the town unspoiled by tourist crowds is what made it stand out. On top of that – I agree with everyone who wrote about Nino’s hospitality. His passion for Sicily and for making his guests comfortable is immense. His father Vito is a very well known architect who created several landmarks in Acireale. We were fortunate to have been able to visit his workshop and see the prototypes that he used for his work – unbelievable! This unexpected and cordial treat was the cherry on the cake. A few words about the property itself: the property is well kept, as shown in the pictures. If you have children, they will love playing in the garden. It is safe and you can let them loose :0) Nino is superquick to respond on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) if there is any question or concern. In hindsight, if there was one thing to improve, is to have air conditioning in the living room/kitchen. If you do not plan to use the sofa in the living room as extra sleeping place, it wouldn’t be a problem. About Acireale and surrounds. If you wish to comfortably get around, you have to have a car, preferably a small one as parking is a challenge. You will have to adjust to the local style of driving: you never know which traffic rules are followed and which are not. It has of course nothing to do with the house :0) The closest beach is quite a hike away from the house, and we were not able to walk there with small children and elderly parents (it is a 2km steep climb). On the other hand, there are plenty of other wonderful beaches, pebbles or sand, and easy to get to by car. All in all, I warmly recommend this place – you will have a unique experience!

The flat is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The house is ideally located in the town, we could buy fresh fish and vegetable every day and enjoy the Sicilian cafés. There is a very nice restaurant just on the other side of the street and a bakery at 100 m distance. The garden of the house is a dream. Nino and his family are extremely nice and dedicated. It was just perfect!

Beautiful villa, incredibly hospitable hosts! Morning coffee before departure from Carmela was wonderful, strange thing, they almost do not speak English, but this did not affect the warm communication at all! (In the house there is an excellent wifi and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) translator will always help in a difficult moment!) A beautiful cozy garden and a lot of turtles, children this has led to indescribable delight! In addition, this is the house of archiects and for me, as an architect, it was extremely interesting to get on a visit! Thank you for the excursion and the sea of delight! Villa Located in a nice and very picturesque place, close to the local market and the main square. Convenient location relative to neighboring attractions and beaches. In my next visit to Sicily, the stop will be only in this house!

If you are looking for an ideally located home base with historic charm and elegance in Acireale, this is the perfect locale. Our hosts were very helpful with recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants, tours, and local culture. The garden was a lovely setting to enjoy alfresco dining, afternoon spritz, or morning granita and brioche. The turtles in the garden were so friendly, we had to bring extra fruit from the local vendors (after quickly researching what was healthy eating for turtles!). The living space was terrific for our group of five. The kitchen was so well-equipped that a long-term stay would have been just fine! Carmela's son, Nino, was the perfect ambassador for Acireale. His enthusiasm was contagious, and his hospitality unparalleled!

Hi, I'm Carmela and with our great pleasure to share the house with all those who love to travel and discover the sounds, colors and new flavors.
I love the morning to get out of my house and walk for a walk to the sea.
If you go to Sicily and want to visit our sea, Siracusa, Taormina and Mount Etna, our facilities, as determined by our guests, are the ideal base.
I love to receive people of different culture, I very gratifying to know that people have been good to me.
We wait,
Carmela
