I am a professional engineer and was on a three month assignment for a project in the Reedsport area. I was looking for lodging that was affordable, comfortable, and would lend itself well as a home office . Laguna West proved to be the perfect choice.
The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood, is tastefully and thoughtfully furnished, and well stocked to accommodate guests. I found the premises to be immaculately clean when I checked in. Roomy floor plan with good flow. Plenty of pillows, blankets, bath towels, hand towels, dish towels, paper towels, bathroom tissue, cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, garbage bags, hand soap, dish soap, and air freshener. I have booked vacation rentals in the past where the first thing required after checking in was a run to the local Walmart to stock up on these household items. At Laguna West the only thing one needs to bring is groceries and a change of clothes.
The house is in a very private setting. Windows look out to a beautiful yard where deer are often seen browsing. Weekly yard service keeps the landscaping looking neat and well maintained. I found the grounds to be good place for evening meditation after a day at the salt mines.
Kitchen is well stocked with appliances, pots, pans, utensils, plenty of serving dishes, food storage containers, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, full spice rack, and every kind of knife needed for food prep.
All the windows are screened and the house is very well ventilated. I was quite comfortable during the heat of summer. On chilly Fall mornings the wood pellet stove kicked on and provided a nice radiant heat.
Christianne was a very gracious host. She checked on me occasionally to make sure everything was peachy, but was also very respectful of my privacy. She responded quickly to my emails when I had questions or asked for assistance.
My job requires that I take regional assignments. At the end of my work day I have often said I was heading back to the motel or the condo. During my stay at Laguna West, at the end of the work day I would tell my associates I was going home.
