This is a simple room just at the top of the stairs, in a newly built rustic-style farmhouse. There is a nice full sized, memory foam bed. One lamp, and one overhead light. Plenty of natural light throughout the day. The room has it's own heat, so you can choose your comfort level.

There are two shared bathrooms for guests. One half bath is located right next to your room, upstairs. The full bath, including a simple shower and tub, toilet, and sink, is downstairs.

The space

You are welcome to use the kitchen and laundry, but please note that I will be using them as well. I don't mind sharing if you don't mind.

Guest access

You are welcome to join us in the main living areas, and you have unlimited access to your room and the guest baths, but please don't go in any of our personal areas, including our office, the master suite, the children's bedroom or our storage closets.

Interaction with guests

We will be living our lives as usual, during your stay. There is not a private entrance, but you have permission to come and go as you please. My children will want to ask all sorts of questions, so be prepared, or just let me know that you'd prefer privacy and we'll stay out of your hair.

If you are around at mealtimes you'll be invited to join us. There's no pressure to accept, and we don't charge for that. It's just a joy to visit with you.

- Quiet hours are from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. We don't expect you to sleep during those hours, we just ask that you keep quiet so our kids can.
- We ask that you help keep our house clean by taking your shoes off at the front door. This is Washington. There's lots of mud.
- Every evening we have family prayer and scripture study. You are welcome to join us, or not as you choose. Please respect our family time.

You must also acknowledge
Must climb stairs - The guest room is at the top of the stairs. It's one flight and has a hand rail.
Potential for noise - The property is out in the country but there is a gun range about a half of a mile away and the rooster likes to crow whenever he feels like it.
Pet(s) live on property - We have a dog, cat, chickens, ducks, and rabbits. They all make noise in one way or another (the rabbits are pretty quiet though).
Some spaces are shared - Shared half-bath near room. Shared full bathroom downstairs. Let us know if you need to store food in the fridge or pantry and we will make it happen.

Absolutely incredible place to stay. Near Mt rainier national park, and also Mayfield lake which is an incredible day out on a sunny day with BBQs, swimming areas and a awesome secluded rope swing. Would highly recommend this for the great hosts who will make you feel very at home. Could rate highly enough.

Lindsay and her husband are amazing. The place was very quiet and country. We got a good recommendation for a dinner place from them. We woke up to roosters and got a chance to taste the tomatoes and cucumbers from their farm. We are on a road trip so didn't get much time but really a comfortable place to stay while traveling Washington or Oregon, she also gave us extra eclipse glasses that she had, after we did not find any at Walmart. Highly recommend them.:)

Great location. Clean and quiet. Was welcomed by the whole family, and was welcome to join in with family activities. Also loved the fresh eggs in the morning!

Nice stay in a family environment. Chris helped us to carry in our bags. Kids gave us a big hug when we were leaving. Would love to stay there again.

Lindsay and Chris are extremely welcoming and accommodating! Their house is in a great location to visit Mount Rainier. You will even have a nice wake up call from the rooster to help you beat the crowds at Mount Rainier. All the food they made was delicious! We had lots of great conversations and hope to visit again! :)

Great hosts and very welcoming family! We enjoyed our stay with Lindsay and her family and would definitely come back. We appreciated that she let us eat her food and we could use everything. It was a good place to go to Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens.

This is truly an interesting, working mini-farm. If there were time, it would be fun to explore more of the workings. Lindsey was very welcoming and accommodating.
