True to the description of the listing, this is a traditional as it gets closer to Tokyo. Much spacious than expected. Very elegant house decorated tastefully preserving old world japanese charm. So smart house that it even teach and remind you how to bow down when you are entering to a traditional japanese room ( specially if you are a 6 footer ) . Finally pay attention to the directions ( which is very elaborative ) as Taxi drivers will not be able to take you to the front door. You need to walk about 40 meters on foot . Love the place and We will be BACK !

Eika's place was beautiful, comfortable, and convenient. First off all, she's a great host. She was very responsive and her guide regarding the check-in and check-out was very thorough and detailed oriented. You'll even see some small notes around the home which were very useful. The home is large, especially for just 2 people. The kitchen was sufficient in all the utensils and supplies you need to have a meal, although there's some really good food in Kamakura and Enoshima, too. If you like to watch TV or need access to a computer, it's available here to use. It was also nice to have a washing machine to clean our clothes. The home is very close to a bus stop, serviced by several lines, and accessible to the Kamakura train station. So if you get a chance, you can take the Enoden line and visit Enoshima, as well. You can even walk to the Bamboo Temple, about 10-12 minutes away from the house. At the end of a long day it was nice to come home and relax in a nice place, I only wished I could've stayed longer to enjoy a bike ride and sightsee more around Kamakura.

Lovely old house that has been renovated without losing its character. Well maintained. Quiet. Convenience store is just a few minutes walk away.

Our experience at Eika's house was perfect! All the details in the house are amazing. Eika is also timely responded and warm-hearted before and during our stay. The house is located in an authentic village, super quiet. Suitable for travelers seeking real experience but others might feel a little creepy in the night.
