Welcome to the Fairbanks Sunrise Home, an innovative net zero energy home overlooking Fairbanks, the Tanana Valley, and the Alaska Range. Sunrise Home is the perfect base for your adventures, leisure, or business in and around Interior Alaska. Located minutes from the Fairbanks airport, downtown and the University, you'll be able to enjoy our comfortable living spaces and sweeping views, soak up the Arctic sunshine, watch a movie in our home theater, and view the northern lights from the yard!

The space

It is our pleasure to welcome you to our Fairbanks Sunrise Home in the Golden Heart of Interior Alaska. You'll find our place the perfect home base for all Interior Alaska has to offer. This includes aurora viewing, sled dog tours, visiting the Museum of the North, soaking in Chena Hot Springs, fat tire biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, accessing the White Mountains, and taking a drive on the Dalton Highway to the Arctic Circle and Brooks Range. Fairbanks is also just two hours away from the infamous Denali National Park.

Sunrise Home can accommodate 6-8 guests. There is one California King Sized bed in the master bedroom, a Queen Size bed in the second bedroom, and a futon bed in the third bedroom (see photos). An inflatable mattress can be made available in the theater room upon request, serving double duty as the fourth bedroom. There are 2 1/2 bathrooms and laundry machines available for your use.

You'll have full use of our kitchen appliances, dishes, glasses, pots, and pans.

Because the house is designed to be highly efficient through Fairbanks' cold winters, there are a few unique features that you will want to familiarize yourself with ahead of time with our Youtube welcome video we share with you when you book. Our tilt-turn triple pane windows, switch-operated window shutters, and insulated multipoint locking front door are a few examples of features you will encounter and learn how to use on your visit. The masonry wood stove is currently shutdown for the season, as the house gets more heat and power than it needs from the sun this time of year. All of the home's innovative systems run automatically in the background to keep you comfortable at the command of the wall mounted thermostat.

Interaction with guests

Our house will be entirely yours for the duration of your stay. We will be reachable via email and phone, and will have an in-town co-host available to help you answer any questions you might have.

This is a perfect place to stay with beautiful view and decorations inside. Claudine is very nice and helpful during our whole trip. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, but you have to rent a car to come to the house. The scene outside the big window of the living room is very beautiful and make us feel peaceful. The house is very clean and all the essentials are provided. We didn't have a chance to use their movie room, but it really looks so nice! Overall, this is a perfect place for groups!!
