The space

Whatever your plans, this stunning apartment for two in the centre of Seville has all the attributes for putting you in the right mood: light –lots of it–, plenty of space, and a cheerful and superbly comfortable interior décor.

It is located in a pretty square next to the convent of San Leandro, from which it takes its name, a square with a large marble fountain in the centre, known popularly as the Pila del Pato, or duck fountain.

The property looks onto the private patio of a rationalist-style building, and has recently been subjected to complete renovation works focused on highlighting its best features: space, and the intake of natural sunlight practically all day long.

The interior décor is a mix and match of modern design and Provenzal-style elements, the brainchild of renowned designer Natalia Parladé. The result is a contemporary and functional space as attractive as it is comfortable, which guests will delight in enjoying. Coupled to this, its central location, with all the main sites of the city a short stroll away, will have you exploring and discovering both Seville and this vibrant neighbourhood in no time.

The apartment has been designed in loft style, one large container of light, open and spacious, with all the different areas blending naturally together. There are large windows on the south side, through which the sunlight streams for many hours of the day, reaching from the entrance hall to the bedroom.

The sense of light and airiness is accentuated by the colour white, dominant throughout and exuding optimism. The floor tiles imitate wood, a pretty and functional solution which further contributes to the sense of space and the natural essence of the whole.

The main living area is comprised by a modern, open kitchen in brilliant white with a few retro-style elements affording warmth, such as the metro-style tiling, antique-style tap and Provenzal dining area/office. White goods and appliances are all of the highest quality.

The dining area/office serves to visually separate the kitchen from the sitting area, which is in turn separated from the main bedroom by a small wall housing a wardrobe on the bedroom side. This wall is a striking feature which defines the living area and provides a note of colour amidst the dominant white.

The sitting area is equipped with a comfortable two-seater sofa, two leather butterfly chairs and a coffee table. The perfect place for relaxing with a cup of tea, watching a film under a blanket, or reading your favourite book... the choice is yours!

In this loft-like apartment, the privacy of the bedroom is assured, as space and solutions are cleverly combined. And space is of the essence in this apartment which exudes sense and sensibility.

Hidden away behind the dividing wall, at the far end of the apartment, are two comfortable beds. Wood panelling on the wall is used instead of a classic headboard, providing a simple, soothing environment. A bench at the foot of the bed and the large natural carpet provide a homely feeling of warmth.

Up against the dividing wall in the bedroom is a spacious wardrobe: three whole sections in which to easily place you clothes, luggage, etc.

The sleeping area also houses the large, modern bathroom, its large frosted sliding door opening towards the sitting area. The bathroom is clearly in keeping with the rest of the apartment, a mix of warmth and modernity, with large contemporary tiling, a rainfall shower and quality sanitary ware.

San Leandro square is right in the central district of the city, only a few minutes on foot to the Plaza de la Encarnación or the Alfalfa district, two areas of great tourist and commercial interest –Seville’s own version of Soho–, and very close to the Giralda and the Cathedral. City bus connections to the main points of cultural interest in the city are close by, and all around there are churches and places of interest related to Easter Week fraternities, as well as myriad bars and restaurants where you can indulge in the rich cuisine of Andalucía.
