SOMETHING MORE ABOUT LOCATION:
To have a location close to the bus station or train station, is not to be understimated in this city full of bridges and with few means of transport!
This is an area still far from the frenetic tourism, fortunatly, even if it is just a few steps from the train station.
If you want to take a walk just 5 min far from the house is the Frari Church, one of the greatest churches in the city with works of Canova and Donatello, it has the status of a minor basilica. It stands on the Campo dei Frari.
The house is also located a few steps from Campo San Rocco, a jewel of Venetian architecture.
You are 5 minutes by walking from a water bus stop, and you can go across the entire Canal Grande till San Mark square seeing all the beautiful Venetian palaces in a different perspective of Venice.
If you want you can walk to the Rialto Bridge (15 min) and Piazza San Marco, it is just ( 20 min), i suggest you not to follow the people, but to get lost in the alleys and experience what a wonderful labirynt is this city (and if you spend here the necessary time, you will also find out that isn't so difficoult to get orientation).

NOT ONLY VENICE
If you stay here a few days, i suggest you to not visit only Venice but also the others isles of the lagoon: Murano, Burano, Torcello and St Erasmo are just near by with boat and keeps some amazing and traditional aspects of the lagoon's life-stile (from the hand fabrication of glass to the coltivation of specials artichokes and the hand making of fine laces).

WINTER MONTHS
December, jenuary and february, even if the largest part of people think that are not a good time to take a visit, are the months in which you can easily taste a tipical venecian life. Usually the weather isn't so cold and there are less tourists all around: that means lower prices and less waiting in restaurants and to enter in museums. In the whole winter, there is the possibility to experience " high water ": the streets can be invaded by the canals's water, if there is an exceptionally high tide (is not so usual but coud be a funny experience!), but is not a big deal to handle it. You can do like venetian people by going out with a pair of rubber boots and enjoy this particular day!

Guest access

Bathroom shared with the host. Possibility to use kitchen for meals, by paying an extra of 30 euro per day. Cleanings 30 euro. If you stay for more than a week,is 30 euro/week.
No extra people are allowd to the apartment.

Alice was a great hostess! She greeted us with hot tea and provided us with a map highlighting places to eat and also visit. She made it really easy to understand the best ways to get around Venice which made our stay even more pleasant since we had her local perspective on things. Her place was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The location was great since it was so close to the train station and the water boat taxis. I highly recommend staying here.

Best host in Venice! Alice welcomed us with tea and maps/information about getting around venice and places to eat. Her house is just off the beaten path so while convenient it's also quiet without the droves of tourists passing all day. Would definitely recommend!

For all the first time users (and not only ), take Alice place for few reasons - 1. Very convenient location, 2. Alice is the best for you to guide you from your first second you step on the island , giving you the best advice ahead , she surprise us with maps and guide book - for free, 3. Room is super clean, and Alice makes delicious breakfast , even very early morning , at 6 am. Thank you Alice , you made our day in Venice wonderful!
