I rented this house to host my sister's bachelorette weekend. Overall, the host and new property manager (who lives in the guest house) were very responsive to my questions before and throughout my stay. The house was spacious and the location was ideal for exploring Los Angeles with a larger group of people.
I was disappointed that the photos did not accurately reflect the condition of the home (especially in terms of the interior design). The air conditioner on the first floor did not work and the house had a musty smell throughout the weekend.
If you're looking for the basics (e.g., enough beds, bathrooms, a large kitchen), then this place will work for you. However, I was hosting a large group and was disappointed at how cold the place felt; it didn't feel lived in or comfortable.
I also noticed upon first walking around that the house did not feel as if it went through a proper cleaning. There was a crusty stain that seemed relatively fresh on one of the comforters in the master bedroom, and random items left on the floor (e.g., stains, crumbs, a dime, parts of a hair clip, a snowboard in the middle of the living area), and even a glass with water in it in one of the bedrooms.
The pictures also made it seem as if the backyard was a place my group could hang out during the day and at night. We unfortunately opted to not spend anytime in the backyard because there were spider webs all over the grill, bar area, and most of the couches. There was a basketball hoop in the front, but all of the balls on site were flat, with no pump to be found.
Most of the bathrooms did not have liquid hand soap so I ended up buying some as soon as I arrived. The property manager quickly provided dishwasher detergent and dish soap when I requested it.
This home is has so much potential to be a beautiful spot for hosting a group. For now, I would not recommend it unless you're just looking for large place to sleep and plan on spending most of your time outside the house.
