Secluded private hilltop setting surrounded by 62 acre farm. 15 minutes from Cook Forest and Clear Creek State Parks and Clarion River. Free firewood. Watch the beautiful sunsets while sitting around the campfire.

Other things to note

Guests are responsible for bringing their own bath towels and drinking water. Also the lane to the cabin is steep and a little bumpy so vehicle ground clearance is recommended. During the winter months 4 wheel drive may be necessary.

This was a fabulous place to spend in the secluded mountains. It is within a short drive to several state parks with plenty to do. Tom and Barbara were wonderful hosts! They were a quiet presence on the other side of the property. We knew they were there if we needed anything but they gave us all the space we needed. They communicated very well and timely. The view from the cabin was beautiful with terrific sunsets! There was plenty of firewood for campfires. The house was quite spacious with many options for sleeping and sitting arrangements. It was perfect for our family of five, but plenty of room for more. There was an air conditioner (and two heating options), ceiling fans and plenty of windows that can open and let in the nice breeze that comes across the hill. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. Make sure you bring your own towels, but there was plenty of bedding, pillows, quilts, and sheets. One thing to note is the steepness of the driveway. It would probably be best to have a vehicle with high clearance/4 wheel drive. It is very steep. This was a great choice for our family of 5 and will we be planning to return in the future.

Jen and Steve it was our pleasure to meet you and your family. We would love to have you back for another visit and thank you for your recommendation of mentioning the steepness of the driveway in our airbnb ad. We will definitely look into that. best wishes to you and your family

Barbara and Tom are excellent hosts who give you privacy while still remaining available in case of emergencies, etc. The view is absolutely stunning. As someone who has traveled all over this country, this area of Pennsylvania is outstanding and this cabin could not highlight it better. The bedding was all clean and plentiful. The fire pit was great and free firewood appreciated. I can't think of much negative to say. The weekend spent their with friends, good conversation and fresh air was near perfect!
