Rapaki Retreat is a sunny, comfortable, spacious, private self contained apartment which is attached to our home but it is completely separate and independent to the home with its own entrance, outdoor living and access. There is one double bedroom for 2 guests. There is a sofa in the living room which converts to a double bed at an extra charge of $20.00 per person per night. It has a separate carport and own barbecue area with outdoor living and views of the hills and ocean.
The apartment does not have laundry facilities, however we are happy for guests to use our laundry facilities within our home for a small charge.
Interaction with guests
We are available to give advice and help at anytime.
Other things to note
Kayaks and a fishing rod are available at no extra cost to our guests. We also have a Jet ski at a small cost.
My husband Manaia was born and bred in Rapaki,. We have 6 adult children between us who are all living independently and we now live on our own in this Beautiful Piece of Paradise, with our chickens, sheep and native birds. Rapaki is a unique Maori settlement and one of four mares on the Banks Peninsula. From our home, we like to relax on one of our decks overlooking the Stunning Views of the Surrounding Hills and Harbour or taking a walk on many of the nearby Tracks or exploring our beautiful country, New Zealand, in our camper. You may find that once you arrive here it will be hard to leave and 2 days will not be enough. We are looking forward to sharing our home and Surroundings with our guests. For us, the Essentials of Life is: Someone to Love, Something to do and Something to look forward to
