Shino's place in north-central Osaka is comfortable and surprisingly large by Japanese standards, or so it felt to us after several days in Tokyo. It was really nice to have the extra bed and the sofa, and the main bed was very comfortable. Fantastic water pressure in the shower too.
Our only issues were:
* his check-in instructions didn't describe how to get the apartment key out of the mailbox, and this was a bit of a challenge due to it being full of mail.
* the power failed during our second day there, and it took several hours for someone to come and reset the breaker. We were out for the day anyway so we weren't bothered. I think this was a random fluke, but worth noting.
* after the power failure, the water heater didn't turn back on, and we struggled with the all-Japanese controls for a while before a hot shower was possible.
