This is my second stay at Neil's place. I love staying here when I come to Halifax. The location is great, close to attractions pubs and restaurants. There is also the option of cooking in as well. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Lovely, safe neighborhood! The house was easy to find, and Neil actually allowed me to check in early as my plane arrived well before check in time, much appreciated! The room did become quite hot throughout the day and was hard to cool down at night, but I wasn't in Halifax to sleep in! I think my stay would have been better had the weather not been SOOO HOT, not your fault Neil! :)

Neil was very responsive and the room and stay was very welcoming. Wish I would have had more time in Halifax. The city is great and the inn is very close to all major points in the city! The Inn is tucked away and the common room on the first floor was a nice place to sit and visit with other guests. Would recommend the Inn to anyone traveling to Halifax!

I really enjoyed my stay at The Novel Stay in room 8. Although this room was small it was quiet, clean and beautifully decorated, as was the whole building. The bed was comfy as was the bedding. A fan kept the room cool in the mid-Sept heat. The bathroom across the hall was spacious and convenient. Great kitchen and living area. And a perfect location within walking distance to everything. I would stay here again for sure.

Neil is the Office Manager for the Novel Stay. He is an artist specializing in painting and illustration. All of the original paintings on display at the chalet are examples of his work.

Brian owns the Novel Stay and manages other properties . He has been renting and renovating real estate in Halifax for over 25 years. When not in the office you can usually find Brian out on the open ocean, or deep in the woods.
