Artist Sydney McKenna provides a lovely Anastasia Island studio apartment recently converted from an art gallery. 3/4 mile from the Bridge of Lions; walk or bike downtown. 1/2 mile to the Lighthouse. Bike or walk to the Amphitheater, Alligator Farm, State park, Conch House Marina and popular restaurants. 2 bicycles with locks available. On site parking! Porta-crib and high chair available on request. Small beach for kayak launching right around the corner (bring your own).
The kitchenette in this 500 sf studio apartment has a full sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker and single burner.
You are welcome to purchase any of the artwork you see hanging during your stay, and Sydney also paints on commission.
There is a dog in the main house, but he does not have access to the apartment.
Enjoy the roof deck in the back yard of Sydney's separate/attached private residence, with views of Salt Run. It's a great place for morning coffee, or to unwind with a glass of wine in the evening. Note that the dock you see belongs to the neighbors, and there is no guest access.
Interaction with guests
I will be happy to offer any advice about the area during your stay.

Remember this is Florida and we have bugs- I have monthly service, but during rainy season sometimes the palmetto bugs seek drier ground. For the squeamish there is eco-smart bug spray under the kitchen sink
Only adults may book, and the person booking must be the person staying, There is an airbnb sanctioned "third party" exception for business travelers whose bookings are made through their office.
I have been a professional landscape painter for 30 years. I am a nature lover and also have a cabin on the Suwannee River. Last year I decided to also get my real estate license and went to work for Watson Realty, so I can help you with any of your relocation needs. I have lived in many parts of Florida since the age of 11, and have been a St. Augustine resident for the last 21 years. I love it here, and will be happy to share my favorite things about the city!
