Cooper was an extremely helpful host and the Harbor House was incredible! As a group of 5 couples, there was plenty of room in the house to spread out and relax. Even with all the room you could find us day or night outside on the back decks, as we couldn't find a better view in all of Maine. The outdoor kitchen was well equipped and I recommend cooking outside each night. We can't wait to stay again!

We loved the (Gut House) it is a warm, whimsical, gracious house. We also loved S Bristol, it was like going back in time I am glad we found it before the rest of the world does. Although S Bristol is off the beaten path, for us that was its greatest charm. Cooper was a responsive and gracious Host sharing his intimate knowledge of S Bristol and the surrounding area allowing us to feel almost like locals. We loved Osiers Market a great place to pick up a carton of milk a bottle of wine or a lobster (steamed or not) They will also cook you breakfast lunch or dinner and every thing I tried was great. One of the high lights of the trip was renting kayaks for the day and kayaking to Witch Island another high light was spending a whole day doing pretty much nothing but relaxing in a lounge chair in the sun on one of the decks. We also visited a couple of local wineries, spent a day at the lobster festival in Rockland visited a couple of local lobster shacks etc...etc.. the point is there is plenty to do (or not) the choice is yours. Another great vacation in Maine and a great first airbnb experience.

Terrific place in a quaint little town area on the water. We had 9 adults and felt that we had more than enough room to give everyone their own space. We had a great time!

A beautiful place in an awesome area. I would recommend taking boat or finding a rental in the nearby Portland if you're planning to stay more than the weekend. Other than that take a large group and enjoy the peace and quiet in a spectacular area!

We loved our visit at the Harbor House. The location is fantastic, the house is large, well equipped, clean and well located. The view of the water, the harbor and all the boat activity around the adjacent drawbridge make this place special. 3 adults stayed at the house, with other visitors dropping in for summer fun. Highlights were rowing in the bay, fishing, sleeping with the sounds of the water outside the window, the fresh salt air, and cooking/eating on the large waterfront decks. Cooper is a responsive and communicative host. South Bristol is a charming small village. I recommend this stay! (One caution: Draw bridge is highly active with lobster fishing boats at the crack of dawn and pleasure boats passing all day into the evening. There is some noise associated with the operation of the draw bridge like warning beeps and the clank of the gate opening and lowering. Mostly this channel (known as The Gut) provides lots of fun boat activity right next to the house).

The house was very well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is a little remote, but quiet and relaxing without the hustle and bustle of a bigger town. The owner is very attentive and answered all of our questions. It's definitely a place to go if you want to disconnect and get some peace and quiet.

I cannot wait for summer! Kayaking, lobster-eating, clam digging, all that good stuff.
