Fisherman's Rest is a casual, comfortable and very affordable beach house - perfect for families. It is a five minute walk to beautiful Nelsons Beach, and because of its elevated position, has views to the bay from the upstairs living room and balconies. Its location, roominess and tranquility will pleasantly surprise you.
Location - Fisherman's Rest is located in the southern section of Vincentia, away from the noise and traffic of Elizabeth Drive. It is in an elevated position, with views of Jervis Bay from the upstairs living area and the two upstairs balconies. The closest beach - Nelsons - is about a 5 minute walk away - along Saumrez Street and Elizabeth Drive. The Vincentia shops and all other amenities are also very close by car.
Key Features - Fishersman's Rest is a very spacious beach house that isvery well laid out for families with children or a large gathering. There is plenty of space to run around, a good rear yard for the kids or a pet,and a good outdoor, undercover entertaining area.
Configuration - Fisherman's Rest is a generous,two storey house, configures as follows:
Upstairs - sleeping 6 - has the main living area (open plan living, dining, kitchen) as well as two balconies with views to the bay. There are also three bedrooms on this level, including the master bedroom with its own balcony. The three bedrooms share a bathroom (shower and bath), and there is a separate vanity and second toilet as well.
Downstairs - sleeping 4 - has a second bathroom (shower, toilet), a laundry, large rumpus room and a large fourth bedroom. The rumpus room and laundry connect to the large undercover outdoor area with gas BBQ and outdoor seating. There is also alarge back yard with plenty of grass for the kids and pets to run around!
There is a second refrigerator downstairs that can also be turned on and used by guests during their stay.
Outdoors -Fisherman's Rest has good lawn areas, an outdoor seating area downstairs, a large covered area for the kids behind the, and balconies upstairs. Overall, there are plenty of options for relaxing outside, or for dispersing the kids!
Heating and Cooling -Fisherman's Rest can be opened up to catch the sea breeze and has various heaters for use during the cooler months.
Linen -Fisherman's Rest is conveniently supplied with all linen and towels. Please however bring your own beach towels.
Parking -there is off street, open air parking for 3 cars on the driveway.
Pets - Fisherman's Rest is a pet friendly property.

Other things to note
Minimum stay - there is a minimum 2 night stay for all bookings, which changes to 3 nights on long weekends, 4 nights at Easter and 7 night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of the Australia Day long weekend in January.
Peak changeover day - please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable.
Internet / Wi-Fi access - please be aware that there is no ADSL in Hyams Beach and poor ADSL internet in most other areas of Jervis Bay. As a result, until the NBN is rolled out, none of our houses offer internet access. If a house has internet, you may nonetheless use it with no guarantee of reliability or bandwidth by us or the owner. If you bring an internet dongle with you, the best network is Telstra, followed by Vodafone. Otherwise, use your smart phone only during your stay or go across to Huskisson where various cafes offer free wifi. The Sanctuary Point Public Library and the St Georges Basin Country Club also provide free Wi-Fi.
- Our extra rules are as follows: • If you depart on a Sunday or public holiday, we may give you a 4pm checkout. This will be advised at the time of booking • sorry, no schoolies, no weddings, no bucks, hens or other parties • sorry, you may not exceed the number of guests that your house is rated for • whilst we take care to keep all in good condition and working order, nevertheless breakages, outages and malfunctions beyond our control do occur. When this happens, we will rectify a situation as soon as practicable, but do not guarantee or take any further responsibility • re the security bond held by airbnb for your stay: if you look after the property like your own, respect the peace and quiet of your neighbours, take out the garbage, don’t move furniture, don’t un-cable electronic appliances, only have pets if allowed, and do not get too drunk or rowdy…you should be OK • please also be honest in reporting damage or breakages, and plan ahead to leave the house and the dirty dishes in a clean and tidy state. Common sense stuff really, or as your grandmother would say: ‘nice manners’.
