I expect the good manners I have experienced from every single one of my guests over a period of two years. There cannot be smoking, of course, or raucous behavior. I really have not had to worry about this in the past.

This is a beautiful home in a stunning location. Homeowner Faythe, is delightfully welcoming and took every care to make sure we had everything we needed. Within easy reach of the Seven Sisters Colleges the house is in an ideal location for parents and family attending graduation ceremonies. It is a beautiful area to explore for walkers and bird watchers. Cannot recommend it more highly. We hope to return when our daughter goes back to college as an Alum.

The basement apartment is in a really beautiful area and the walk up to Amherst and the surrounding area is only about 45 mins and you pass ponds and rivers so it's a very enjoyable walk. The apartment is also really large and there's room to spread out, also the back patio looks out into the woods. I was there for work and stayed over the weekend and It's a really nice space to just relax and enjoy the surrounding area.

Staying at Faythe's is a bowl of cherries. Literally, she left a bowl of cherries for me at check in. The space is capacious and comfortable. Beautiful in the country, across from a pond, but minutes away from Amherst. Faythe provides everything for a terrific stay.

Faythe is a lovely host. She greeted me and gave me a quick tour. Everything is as posted in the listing. The space is immaculate and looks out onto a beautiful little lake. It is peaceful and calming here. She also kindly stocked the fridge with healthy drinks and snacks. Highly recommend if need a quiet getaway. Town is only 1.5 miles away.

Faythe did everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. The apartment was perfectly clean and well ordered, food and coffee were stocked in the fridge, she offered detailed responses to questions about shopping in the area, she was generous, warm funny and ultimately very approachable. The location is woodsy and a five minute drive to Amherst downtown. We got the best nights sleep surrounded by woods, overlooking a pond and many birds flying about. A terrific location for a variety of experiences, we recommend it highly and would like to return!

The space is nice and spacious, though smells a little like mildew. Beds and living room are comfy. The pond is great. If you have younger children (under 10), I would not recommend this place. The owner didn't seem to be OK with kids.

Response from Faythe:
My listing description says the space has a microwave, small refrigerator, and coffee maker, and that is exactly what there is. It does not suggest that there is a kitchen nor does it suggest there is a large t.v. Most customers do not come to the area to watch t.v. I am fine with well-behaved children but not the kind who turn up the refrigerator as far as it will go, switch the "off" switch on the furnace, spill soda on the bedroom carpets and basically run amok without parental supervision. The "moldy" smell may be due to the fact it has rained all spring. My space is exceedingly clean.
