You will love your time at the cottage because of the vineyard location & gardens, the luxury facilities and amenities and the peace, quiet and privacy. Perfect for couples, the cottage is surrounded by Barossa cellar doors and Fino, Hentley Farm and Appellation restaurants.
Relax in the cottage gardens or enjoy invigorating walks amidst vineyards. We live nearby on the property if you would like help with touring recommendations for your stay.

The space

Perfect for celebrating any special occasion or just for a holiday, the cottage is a wonderful place to relax as well as the perfect base for exploring the Barossa. Many international guests comment it is a welcome "home away from home" if they are travelling for an extended period.

The cottage is self-contained and the tariff includes cooked and continental breakfast provisions, a bottle of estate wine, gourmet platter produce, free WiFi and complimentary restaurant transfers to Appellation, Hentley Farm or Fino restaurants are offered on one night of your stay.

The carpeted lounge is cosy with quality soft furnishings, Bose sound systems, recent magazines and LED TV with a selection of CDs and DVDs.

The bedroom offers a king bed with white linens and the adjoining large ensuite bathroom offers underfloor heating and heated towels in winter, a double shower and deep rainwater claw foot bath.

Indoor and outdoor kitchenettes with Scanpan cookware, Global and Wusthof knives and all crockery and cutlery plus much more, ensures guests can prepare their own meals if desired.

There is heating and cooling throughout as well as an open wood fire in the winter months.

The experience we offer has been recognised in our Trip Advisor reviews and multiple national and state tourism awards.

Guest access

Guests have exclusive use of the cottage and their own private gardens surrounding it. They are also welcome to explore the vineyard and the 25 acre property, helping themselves to any fruits and vegetables in season (including figs, pomegranites, cherries, plums etc). Guests can walk through the neighbouring vineyards to Fino retaurant (10 minutes) and Hentley Farm restaurant (5 minutes).

Interaction with guests

We are always contactable. We are either on the property or guests have our private mobile phone details and we check our emails very regularly.
We enjoy socialising with guests if this is something they wish to do, but are very aware of offering privacy for those who desire this.
We offer a wine tasting of our Seize the Day Shiraz to guests who have an interest in wine.

Other things to note

Very occasionally and depending on the season there may be work required to be done in the vineyard. This is always worked around a guest's stay where possible and rarely impacts on our guests because we usually have control over this.
Having said that, guests are often intrigued and interested in what needs to be done in the vineyard and enjoy speaking to us about what it's like to have a vineyard and grow grapes.

In a past life I was a Registered Nurse/Midwife and enjoy meeting people and sharing my passion for the Barossa. Helping guests discover and enjoy the best of the Barossa makes life interesting and fulfilling.

Peter and I spent two years restoring our 1850s early German settler's cottage from a ruin into premium Barossa accommodation and are very proud to have helped preserve some precious Barossa history. Now, with nearby Seppeltsfield Estate undergoing a renaissance, we find ourselves in one of the Barossa's "go to" destinations, Seppeltsfield.

I love my family and grandchildren, gardening, food and wine (of course!) We have lots of great friends here in the Barossa. It's a fabulous place to live with lots of festivals and music and wine events.

I enjoy anticipating, meeting and exceeding our guest's expectations!
