The space

Enjoy elegant island living only a few steps away from the coastline in a spacious private home in the exclusive Cape at Mauna Lani community. This beautiful ocean-side residence features four en suite bedrooms, a private infinity pool (unheated) and hot tub, and stunning ocean and golf course views. Guests are within walking distance to the Mauna Lani Beach Club and NaPua's restaurant.

This home is elegantly appointed with flagstone floors and vaulted ceilings. The perfect blend of peaceful Hawaiian living coupled with modern amenities, The Cape 3 has a media room featuring a digital home theatre system with a large screen TV, DVD & VCR and a multi-room music player. Other amenities include a washer & dryer, complimentary WIFI access throughout the property and air-conditioning in all the bedrooms & media room only. The main living area (living room, dining room & kitchen) is not air-conditioned but designed to enjoy our wonderful trades with several ceiling fans and large sliding pocket doors that can be opened for maximum natural ventilation. The spacious gourmet kitchen is accented with Koa cabinets, granite countertops and commercial grade appliances. There is ample seating for meals and entertainment including two bar areas, an indoor formal dining room and a large outdoor patio set. The living room and formal dining area flow outside to the lanai and pool area through fully recessed glass doors.

A special feature of the Cape 3 home is the resort-worthy outdoor deck area that surrounds the pool. There is dining for eight and a cooking area complete with a gas grill. A full wet bar equipped with a large flat screen TV is great for watching games or to entertain the kids. Relish in the tropical sun on the private pool deck overlooking the golf course and ocean.

The master suite of this extraordinary home features an expansive ocean view, a walk-in closet, king size bed, a luxurious soaking tub and rain shower. The second and third bedrooms also have king size beds and the trappings of master suite. The fourth bedroom has a queen size bed. Each bedroom enjoys a private attached bathroom. For maximum comfort all bedrooms have separate air-conditioning controls and each bedroom has a TV. The bedrooms are all very private and situated to access outdoor gardens protected by a privacy wall. There are two additional half baths, one off of the kitchen and one by the pool.

Guest access

As a guest staying in the Mauna Lani Resort, you will also have access to use the following facilities on the resort: the Mauna Lani Beach Club (including chairs), Mauna Lani Spa, Mauna Lani Sports & Fitness Club, Mauna Lani Tennis Shop and the Mauna Lani Golf Club (North & South Golf Course). Access fees to use these facilities are due at point of sale.

Interaction with guests

On-site check-in office is open daily from 9:00am - 5:00pm for guests who need assistance, have questions or would like recommendations for activities, beaches, restaurants, services, etc. We are also available after-hours to assist in case of an emergency.

South Kohala Management (SKM) manages residential vacation rental properties that are privately owned by individuals. By reserving a property you are entering into a rental contract with SKM that is governed by the laws of the state of Hawaii and the Hawaii Landlord Tenant Code (HRS 467).

STAY RULES
-Guests are required to register at our designated Resort Check-­in Office, open daily from 9:00am – 5:00pm. You will be asked to present your drivers license or other form of ID. A photocopy will be taken at registration.
-Maximum Occupants: Each of our properties has a strict maximum sleeps capacity. Guests are required to provide the accurate number of people who will be staying in the unit at the time of booking. If the occupants exceeds the limit, you may be required to rent an additional unit or to pay a per person daily surcharge. In some cases you may not be allowed to stay in the unit if the maximum capacity is exceeded. Violation of this policy may also result in the forfeiture of the security deposit.
-Parking: Parking is limited to one vehicle per unit unless you were informed otherwise, in writing, prior to arrival.
-Events: Parties, events and social gatherings are strictly prohibited due to the rules of the resort and homeowners associations (HOA). Guests who violate this policy may be evicted from the premises and charged the fines imposed by the HOA.
-Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited in all properties, including the lanai, balcony and common areas.
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
-Special requests are not guaranteed and guests are not entitled to a refund or unit move if a special request is unable to be granted.
-Unit Amenities: All units are equipped with a washer & dryer, beach towels & hotel linens. An initial supply of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher detergent and trash bags are provided. Beach toys and gear vary by unit and are not guaranteed, but may be rented at various locations within the resorts.
-Pests: All properties have regular pest control services; however, pests are a natural part of Hawaii’s tropical environment and cannot be 100% eradicated. Guests can help to minimize the problems by not leaving food items or dirty dishes out on counters and by keeping screen doors closed at all times. The presence of an occasional pest does not justify a unit move or a refund.
-Maintenance: SKM is a rental agent only and is not responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of communal areas and facilities. SKM will make every effort to inform guests of common area maintenance if possible. SKM is not responsible for any ongoing construction projects nearby or in other units on property.
-Private Pools: Homes with private pools are not heated at any property but may be heated for an additional daily surcharge. Child protective fences are not provided so children must be supervised at all times.
