Very cute house well situated in the center of town. Great location within walkable distance to restaurants and shops. Our room was tiny, but it is expected in old Block Island houses. It was perfect for our short stay and we only used it to sleep and shower. You'll have plenty to do outdoors and keep busy in Block Island.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Bellevue. The northwest room was small but it did have its own private bathroom which was a plus. The inn is down the block from the main strip but far enough that you get to enjoy peace and quiet while sitting on the porch!

Spent a few days with my teenaged daughter in the Bellevue Inn portion of this property, which consists of a few different homes/cottages. Check in was wonderful, Christina at the front desk is a dear. The place is well kept outside and quite lovely. The largest building where our room was located has been run as an inn since the 1800s. Love that. It is an old building, so quirks are expected and I quite enjoy them. The room we had - the North West room - is quite small. Not much more space than the bed took up. Shabby Chic (painted) table for single-cup coffee maker and some cups. Bath was tiny but clean (except for a rusty old bracket from some former towel ring on the wall). Shower was good sized. They were having water issues on the property when we were there, but the staff were right on top of it. Bed was very comfortable and linens were nice. Housekeeping did a good job except they did not vacuum the carpet, which had gotten some crumbs and sand on it. It was just left there. Turndown service with mint on the pillow is a nice touch. We paid $12/pp for breakfast in the little breakfast room. Quiche, quickbread, muffins, fruit, so-so coffee. The eggs come from a local farm, and the breads and muffins are all made on site, and were delicious. All in all, we would stay here again, though I think for the rate we paid, there are slightly better accommodations on the Island.

This was my first trip to Block Island and thanks to Cariona’s wonderful welcome and hospitality, it won’t be my last! She and her crew were very easy going, relaxed and accommodating. The room was as-described. The place is quiet, which suits me just fine. The location was perfect: just far enough away from town to provide a getaway from the hub-bub — but close enough to walk. The Inn is up a hill, so I got a bit of a leg work-out in. I stayed in the North West Room — I arrived early, and was just going to drop off my bag in the ‘breakfast nook’, but my room was already ready, and I was graciously allowed to check-in early - which was fantastic. The room was adorable: I entered to streaming sunlight and sheer curtains billowing in an island breeze. Cariona kindly helped me out with directions and recommendations. The Inn has an ‘outdoor shower’ which is available for use after check out - and golly, did that come in handy! — on my last day, I got unexpectedly soaked & muddy on a hike in a downpour after check out - The Inn provided me with towels and I got cleaned up for the ferry ride home. There is a dirth of public washrooms/showers on the Island, despite the beaches, so, I really appreciated this amenity of the Inn. And, there is a cat: Tilly! — She’s a charmer: just like the Inn and it’s owners. I’d go back!

Amazing experience, old historic home charm, and the staff was on the ball. So close to everything and a beautiful view. I highly recommend staying on this property.
