The space

My place is close to parks and great views. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the people, the views, and the location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Guests are welcome from everywhere and anywhere. Make yourselves at home.

This is a studio space with a bed/sitting room, a kitchenette, a bathroom with a hand basin then a separate toilet and shower area. There's a place to hang clothes and plenty of storage in drawers and cupboards.
The kitchenette is fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, small conventional oven and cooktop with an additional double cooking ring for the enthusiasts. Plenty of cooking and eating utensils

Guest have access to the back garden where there's a bench table for afternoon and evening sun. There's a line to hang washing at the back of the garden. Guest are also welcome at any time to use the tables and chairs on the front deck to enjoy the morning sun and views over the estuary.

We want you to enjoy your stay and see as much of Auckland as possible. There is so much to see, we have 34 regional parks just for starters!
There's plant of space just over the road for walking, running, kayaking, cycling, tennis and futsal and a swimming pool 20 minutes walk away.
We are more than happy to help you find places of interest to visit and show how best to get there.

Because of its location close to the city and near the Tamaki Estuary our neighbourhood is undergoing transformation. We have a number of nationalities living here; European races (pakeha), Maori and peoples from various Pacific islands. The area was developed as state housing but is now being transformed into mixed ownership housing. We have lived here for 13 years. People are real friendly and we feel safe and comfortable.

> From Auckland airport catch either a)the "Airporter" bus into the city then catch 595 bus from Britomart OR b)catch the "#380 Go Bus" to Manukau rail station, then catch the train to Britomart getting off at Panmure station. If we're at home we will try to collect you from Panmure otherwise d)get a taxi e) walk for the 25 minutes or f)catch a 595 bus. This is the cheapest option.

> A taxi from the airport will cost about $70 -$90 and an Uber probably half that price.

>If you have a car please park it on the left of the road, outside the house. It's perfectly safe there but should be locked at all times and don't leave any valuables in them.

>You will find various bus and train schedules and maps in the cabin. We will try to make sure they are always up to date but can't guarantee it. Best use the website (EMAIL HIDDEN) to plan journeys and or buy an AT HOP card (the closet place is the Panmure rail station) which makes it easier to pay fro trips on buses and trains.

>The 595 and 717 bus routes go along Tripoli road, get off at stop number 7546 just outside the Tamaki Primary school. Walk through the school grounds to our house. These routes in either direction take you to a rail station on the Eastern line which will take you either to Britomart in the CBD or to Manukau city where you can catch a bus to/from Auckland airport.

>If you have a car, beware trying to travel anywhere in a hurry during peak traffic (6.30-9am and 3-6pm weekdays) Traffic could clog up anytime at weekends. You should allow AT LEAST 1 HOUR to get to the airport from here.

>There are a group of shops on Tripoli Road (just a 3 minute walk through the Tamaki Primary school grounds). The shops sell, food (milk, bread, convenience foods, fruit & vegs etc), liquor, chinese take-aways.

>We have bikes (both manual and conventional) and kayaks that you could ask us about using.

My girlfriend and I had an AMAZING stay at Bob and Cheryl's. Other reviewers said Bob and Cheryl were the nicest hosts they'd encountered--I couldn't agree more! Cheryl drove us to the grocery store and even did a load of laundry for us (though I can't guarantee they can do this for all guests). The house is absolutely beautiful and the backyard is simply stunning. The beach-side location is secluded and beautiful. It's about a 20-minute walk to the nearest train station and then a 15-minute or so ride into downtown Auckland. We loved our stay and would highly recommend to anyone. Bob and Cheryl have only been hosting a few months--give it another year or so and this lovely couple will be superhosts for sure!!!

Cheryl and Bob are great hosts, very welcoming and open minded. We had a great time at their place. They are always there for you or just for a chat, but give you your privacy if you want. We would love to come back :)

I had a lovely stay in this home. The property itself was very comfortable with everything that you could need in a very relaxing and peaceful setting. Cheryl and Bob are very welcoming and are willing to go above and beyond as hosts. Would very much recommend this property to stay in!

We stayed at Bob and Cheryl's place for 8 nights, and with it being our first Air bnb experience, we honestly didn't know what to expect. From start to finish communication was easy, they were so helpful as soon as we booked, giving us tips on transport and places to visit, and when we eventually arrived, taking us out and showing us lovely Auckland. I cannot explain what lovely and geniune people they both are, it really is something you need to find out in person.. you will not regret staying here! The place is clean, quiet and very homely, you can feel the love that they put into it, and it makes it feel like a home away from home. Just 12 minutes away from the City Centre but with it being right by the Estuary, you really don't need to venture out much. I honestly can't praise the home and Bob & Cheryl enough, they really did make our trip.

Lovely hosts made checking in and communication a breeze. Great spot with everything you need, quiet and surrounded by beautiful gardens. The little extras like vogels, milk and biscuits that are included were also much appreciated and made you feel right at home!

We love travelling ourselves, and enjoy meeting people from other countries and around New Zealand as well as helping plan their holidays. We are lucky to live by the water, and enjoy kayaking over the road, and playing tennis close by, as well as going to the theatre or Auckland's many restaurants and craft beer pubs.
