Lovely and comfortable apartment between the canals in the center of Amsterdam for max. 2 persons.
Everything is at walking distance: restaurants, the entertainment area (Leidseplein/Rembrandtplein), the museum district, the shopping area (Kalverstraat), the park (Vondelpark) and the "Bloemenmarkt" to name just a few.
Public transportation stops right at your front door so you can get straight from the central station to the apartment.
The apartment is very quiet in the bedroom even though it is located in the center of the city. The balcony is very nice to catch some sunlight and you are allowed to smoke there.
The closet in the bedroom will be emptied on the right side so you can put your clothes there. The left side of the closet however has my personal clothes so please leave that compartment alone.
You can use pans, pots, cutlery, herbs for cooking, coffee machine, tea, and stuff in the refrigerator like butter (please don't make a mess in there ;-)).
I am very fond of my (academical) books so unless you are a medical doctor and need some brain exercising, just leave them be ;-).
Interaction with guests
If you ever run into trouble or have a question about Amsterdam, just contact me and I will help.
Other things to note
If you start making noise in the late hours (music, loud chatter), don't be surprised to find the police knocking at your door (after 22.00 and before 8.00 most likely). In Amsterdam the neighbours skip the courtesy of politely asking you to turn it down. Sadly, the fee is all yours.
- Your stay is only for those who made the reservation and are registered guests.
- No (after) parties allowed.
- No smoking inside the house, only at the balcony.
- While using the balcony, keep your voice down because people sleep on the balcony-side of the apartment.
- Avoid a fine from the police by being quiet after 22.00 and before 8.00 and respect your neighbors.
- Respect my personal properties
I am a curious person always looking forward to explore new countries and cultures and meet new people. I believe that I am an openminded- easy going person that sees life as a journey without a destination where the journey itself is the most exciting experience!
Traveling became one of my passions after I experienced living abroad and when I travelled through Asia. This experience was an eyeopener and made me realize that being abroad and on the road is what I would live for from this day on.
Besides being an entrepreneur and a tech geek, I like to go sailing in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. I furthermore have a profound love for music and sports and I like to be with friends an family.
As a tenant I believe that being a guest anywhere is a privilege and therefore I am always grateful to the host. I would be above all respectful to the host and try to have a minimal impact on the offered accommodation. I also expect my guests to do the same, treat the house of someone else with respect like you would with your own.
