Gabby, again I do apologize for the inconveniences you faced as they are not truly reflective of the typical experience that my guests receive. My lack of communication was not motivated by greed but circumstance; admittedly I dropped the ball as your reservation took place while my wife and I were celebrating our 1st anniversary across the country and abroad. The "evaporative cooler" was actually an A/C and the issue was that too much condensation collected from overuse and it needed to be drained. Unfortunately, as Murphy's law would put it, this specific issue also happened while my wife and I were returning from our trip: as soon as our flight landed (@530 AM), I saw your messages and immediately headed over to best rectify the situation.
Gabby, I would have loved to been given the opportunity to properly address the issues at hand. When we finally did meet face-to-face and after you were rested, you were very curt and dismissive. I completely understand why you were upset but without an opportunity to properly address the situation, we couldn't move forward in resolution.
Also, to clarify, there are 3 bathrooms in the house, not 1 and immediately next door to my home is a small apartment complex. Directly behind that is the laundry facility (roughly 200 ft away or 1 block over). I provide the earplugs as a common courtesy as some people are more sensitive to noise (in general) than others and I thought it would bring strong value.
Regardless, I apologize again for my impact on your stay and wish you safe travels back home.
