It's a nice house and the amenities were there but kinda an uncomfortable vibe, the whole time i felt like if i was to loud, or something was out of place i would get yelled at. i could only compare it to staying at your grandparent house.

Response from Kwame:
I apologize that you felt uncomfortable Sabath as this was never my intention. To clarify, at no point did anyone yell at you or publicly scrutinize you. This home is a quiet, communal, 4-bedroom home that typically houses business travelers or those looking to stay on the outskirts of the city. Respect is definitely keen and it by no means is a frat house or one where having friends pass out drunk on the couch during common hours is acceptable. Safe travels.

In a nutshell the service and communication was difficult and ended once money was paid to him, and deteriorated once a facility issue in the bedroom was reported (broken evaporative cooler). Comfortable bed as long as you are 5 foot 8 or shorter and not sharing bed. Clean room …

Response from Kwame:
Gabby, again I do apologize for the inconveniences you faced as they are not truly reflective of the typical experience that my guests receive. My lack of communication was not motivated by greed but circumstance; admittedly I dropped the ball as your reservation took place while my wife and I were celebrating our 1st anniversary across the country and abroad. The "evaporative cooler" was actually an A/C and the issue was that too much condensation collected from overuse and it needed to be drained. Unfortunately, as Murphy's law would put it, this specific issue also happened while my wife and I were returning from our trip: as soon as our flight landed (@530 AM), I saw your messages and immediately headed over to best rectify the situation. Gabby, I would have loved to been given the opportunity to properly address the issues at hand. When we finally did meet face-to-face and after you were rested, you were very curt and dismissive. I completely understand why you were upset but without an opportunity to properly address the situation, we couldn't move forward in resolution. Also, to clarify, there are 3 bathrooms in the house, not 1 and immediately next door to my home is a small apartment complex. Directly behind that is the laundry facility (roughly 200 ft away or 1 block over). I provide the earplugs as a common courtesy as some people are more sensitive to noise (in general) than others and I thought it would bring strong value. Regardless, I apologize again for my impact on your stay and wish you safe travels back home.

This was our first Airbnb experience, and it was definitely a good one. The place was very neat and clean. Super comfy bed with AC unit in the room was very nice after a delayed flight with connections.

Good, clean, secure home if you are looking for a place to lay your head at night while out exploring the city in the daytime. No surprises. Location isn't great but $20 in an Uber gets you downtown.
