Our home features a double deck party dock. Excellent for boating and swimming. We have a canoe and 2 kayaks for guest use. The home is very comfortable for 1 or 2 families or a couples retreat. It sleeps up to 10 people (or perhaps a few more if you get creative).

Welcome to Chestatee Point and Lake Lanier Getaway. We hope your stay will be very enjoyable. Below, you’ll find a few tips and rules about the house so you will become familiar with it quickly.

2-3 cars are can be parked in the driveway in front of the house. An additional car and/or boat trailer can be parked on the street (opposite side of the driveway – please pull of the road as much as feasible). Please limit the total number of cars in your party to 4.
The party dock is available for use by renters. Our dock is down the path right behind the house. (#M 916 ). The dock is a single slip dock. The slip is not for renter use as our boat generally occupies the slip. Please respect our property and keep guests in your party from disturbing our boat. If you bring or rent your own boat, it can be tied to the side of the dock throughout the duration of your stay. However, bumpers or ropes are not provided, please be sure to bring your own.
PLEASE NOTE: Please limit the total number of occupants on the dock to 10 at any given time.
Additionally, the path and steps going down to the dock are owned by the Army Corps of Engineers. They are not regularly maintained and can me very slippery when wet. Please use extreme caution when walking to and from the dock.

NO SMOKING in the house. If you smoke outside, please dispose of butts properly (not by throwing on the ground).
NO PETS (no exceptions unless otherwise negotiated in the contract in writing)
A/C - Heat:
The air conditioning controls are on the main floor next to the bathroom. Please do not lower the A/C below 69 degrees. Upon departure, please set main cooling system to 85 degrees during cooling months. Please completely turn off separate system in the sun room. During winter, please leave the heat set to 60.
Respecting personal property:
This is a private house, and as such there is personal property in and around the house. Please be respectful of personal property. This would include any vehicles and equipment on the property such as boats, trailers, etc.
Our home is located in a quite community with neighbors on both sides. Please be respectful by keeping noise to a minimum. Excessive noise, rowdy behavior, or complaints from neighbors will be subject to early termination of the rental agreement and ejection from the property with no refund in rent.
Although there is no official “No Wake” zone around the private boat docks, please maintain a 200 yard no or low wake zone around boat dock and those of the neighbors. This is common courtesy and helps preserve property, shores and maintain good relations with neighbors. Along these lines, there should be no “Dock Starts” from the boat dock.
There are 2 Kayaks and one Canoe available for your use during your stay.
The kayaks and canoe are located and secured to the dock. Before any storms or before you leave, please return the kayaks and canoe to their original location and secure them properly.
Paddles are located on hooks on dock. Please return ALL paddles before departure.
Life Jackets are located in the trunk on the dock and must be with you while on the kayaks and canoes. There are also other water floats, etc. in the black trunk that are available for your use. Please return all items before your departure. If items are wet, please leave box lid open.
Trash must not exceed what will fit in ONE Evan’s Garbage can w/ lid properly closed. If you have more trash, please dispose of it properly.
IMPORTANT: Trash can MUST be taken to the curb on Thursday evenings for Friday pick up. If you are staying on a Thursday evening, please help us with this important task.

CHECKOUT TIME is 10:00 am – unless a later check out has been arranged. This allows us to clean before the next guests arrive at 4pm.
Before you leave, to assure a complete return of your security deposit, please conduct the following steps:
We try to maintain a clean environment for all our guests. Prior to check- out, we ask that our guests leave the house in neat condition including the following:
• Broom sweep floors where food was prepared and/or eaten, and where messes have occurred during your stay
• Empty refrigerator and freezer
• Clean up any spills or carpet stains
• Return inside and outdoor furniture to original locations
• Ensure deck table umbrella is lowered
• Check dock for personal belongings and cleanliness (please do not leave any trach at dock)
• Please secure canoe and kayaks, paddles, and chairs with bungies and ropes back to the way you found them. Items not secured can be easily lost with strong winds and waves. (see dock inventory below for items that should be on dock)
• Strip used sheets and pillowcases and place them in the floor by the laundry
• Place all used towels, washcloths, etc. in the floor by the laundry
• Take all trash to outside garbage can (please see “garbage” section above.
• Load all dirty dishes into the dishwasher and start dishwasher (detergent pods under sink)
• Adjust the thermostat back to 60 in winter and 85 in summer
• Return furniture, games/toys, etc. to original position
• Close and lock all windows and exterior doors
• Please leave the house key in the same place you found it during arrival.
FINALLY – Please text/call me to let me know you have departed.
Please note: If the condition of the home is found lacking OR it takes more than the standard time to clean, your deposit will be subject to deductions at the rate of $25 an hour.

• Beach towels
There are several items available for guest use on the dock. Please enjoy the while you are here and please secure them back to the original location before leaving. You will be responsible for lost items.

• 2 canoe paddles and 2 kayak paddles
• 5 misc. life jackets
• 2 green chairs
• 2 blue lounge chairs
Please notify us at the beginning of your stay if anything is missing. Also, please do not disturb our boat that is on the lift in the slip. Let us know if you have any questions.
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund. Cancel within 5 days of your trip and the first night is non-refundable, but 50% of the cost for the remaining nights will be refunded.
