The Cabin is a great cosy and quirky space with all that you need for a fab break in a beautiful location, a working farm with cows, friendly dogs and wildlife, walks, a great pub and Bath 10 mins drive away - we welcome you!

The space

Our highly individual, self contained holiday cabin 10 mins from Bath city centre, offers the unique opportunity to escape to a small working farm set within a beautiful and peaceful village location, great for walking and cycling. An excellent village pub is within walking distance and the wonderful city of Georgian Bath with all its culture, shops, bars and restaurants is only a short drive away, or why not let the bus take the hustle and go by Park and Ride - it takes only minutes!

There is much to offer throughout the year, festivals, theatres, museums, christmas market and the open air skyline pool at the famous Bath Thermae Spa is a must. Bath University, The Ameriacn Museum are close by and Bristol Airport is but a 50 minute drive away. Bristol, Wells, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge, Stonehenge are all within easy reach, even the coast is an approx 90 mins by car or train.

The Cabin is an 'upside down' sort of place, decorated with a hint of the sea throughout. A small flight of stairs lead to the top deck, where there's a King size bed, flat screen TV, an area to sit and relax and a petitie dining area, all with the advantage of amazing country views from every window. Through plantation shutters, an oak door leads to your own private balcony where breakfast can be enjoyed or maybe a glass of wine before supper.

The lower deck and entrance hall has a walk in shower room and a perfectly equipped galley kitchen with breakfast bar. Linen, towels, bath robes, slippers and a selection of food goodies, provide the essentials on your arrival.

The Cabin at Anchor Farm offers a fabulous and tranquil all year round escape for 2. We invite you to come and share in the experience which we are privileged to enjoy every day and create your own mix of 'town and country'.

I loved staying at Sue's place. It's quiet and relaxing. Her dogs greeted us when we got there. And I loved watching the cows. It's very clean and neat and she makes you feel special and right at home. I would recommend Sue's place. It was just wonderful. It's a bout a 4 mile drive to Bath with fun one lane roads to go down. The Fox and Badger is an amazing pub and would recommend it.

Such a beautiful bolt hole in a quiet secluded part of Bath. Top class accommodation. Sue really thought of everything ... from complimentary toiletries to a welcome breakfast supply back. The local pub, few minutes walk away, is lovely and does superb food. Cant recommend this lovely cabin enough. We will be back x

We loved the sense of a home from home accommodation. Sue has thought of and provided for anything you might need! This is an unusual upside down style, but works really well and has been finished to such a high standard. Location was great for us as it wasn't in the heart of Bath but a short distance away via car, we highly recommend the park and ride or taxi for an evening out. It's views and location in the countryside will definitely help you unwind a d allow for lovely walks if you choose. Not to be missed!

We had a fab time at the cabin, it was beautifully laid out had everything we needed. Some home made flapjacks that were a lovely treat on arrival. Really comfortable. In the middle of the sticks but easy to access Bath from. The pub nearby was great, lovely food and welcoming staff. Sue was a great host. Would 100% recommend a stay here

Lovely very cosy space for a romantic weekend. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed and Sue had left some lovely personal touches, everything from the bowl of fresh fruit to the toiletries. The cabin is well located for the park and ride into Bath which took the hassle out of trying to park in the city centre. There are also some good restaurants near by. We had a lovely stay with a lovely host.

Me and my girlfriend have just spent 2 nights at this lovely little guest house and we loved every minute of it. The place i so cosy we didn't want to leave but had to explore bath city centre which is only a 10 minute drive and the Wheatsheaf pub (which is on your doorstep) is perfect for a evening meal. Sue our host was perfect, greeted us with cakes and all the essentials we needed and then left us to it. Would 100% recommend to all couples looking for a romantic break. Thanks again Sue

Great quaint couples snug, equipped with little kitchen wet room, upstairs seating area and sleeping quarters, perfect for a couples get away - set in a secluded land 15 mins drive from Bath you get the best of both worlds great views onto the field and peace and quiet- hop and skip into town and you have everything you'd need including the thermal spa rooftop pool (our recommendation). Sue was very hospitable and had the place set out really nicely when we arrived including little extra touches of a few grouceries in the kitchen! Would highly recommend if your looking for a quiet get away for 2

In the 1990's, we moved here from the city of Bristol with our 4 kids, 2 dogs and a cat. The place was a wreck and we knew absolutely nothing about farming and land management. Living like gypsy's in a caravan for 6 months, we set about making the place habitable for us all, then bought cattle, sheep, a stroppy goat and chickens - fast forward 20 years and we've never looked back! It's been an amazing adventure with high's and low's along the way, opening up a whole new path of learning and skills I would never have believed possible! It even led to me starting a small business here working outdoors with children as a Forest School Leader.

Now retired (apart from the farm), I'm an outdoor kind of women and love nature in all it's beauty and wildness throughout all the seasons. I relish new opportunities, challenges, travel (although 'cause of the farm, the dogs and the wonderful place where we live, our trips have to be very special), and of course must involve one or two wild experiences! It's brilliant being near the city of Bath for culture, restaurants, shops and bars to meet up with family and friends. I'm very lucky- I can share in the benefits of both town and country living in equal measure - we welcome you to come and share in it too!
