Clean, easy, fun decor, a touch chilly, and great yogurt! Breakfast was suitable for lacto-ovo-vegetarians.

This is quite a charming old-school house. My room was very clean and cosy. There is no heat so make sure to bring warmies to sleep in :) Very quiet at night - I slept well after a day of exploring the volcanoes national park. The breakfast is lovely - better than the description…

Nice place to stay. Be aware of the killer cats:-). Offer good homemade breakfast. There is no heater in the room/ property, it can get very cold at night especially if you want to bath.

Response from Joan:
Yes, you forget we are at 4,000' in elevation on top of Kilauea (mountain) so cold air is generally present. This is one of the reasons people stay here to get away from the hot humid conditions. Hence, you can expect it to be about 10-15 degrees colder than at the beach!
