The apartment is extremely central and very clean and comfortable. However, it is impossible to get close to it by car as there are street cameras close by. We were advised by the host to park in the Square, which we did, and bought a parking ticket until 10 am the next morning. However, when we returned to the car (in good time) it was gone. It turned out it had been removed for street cleaning on a Saturday morning. We wasted precious hours with the police and more than 80 Euros getting our car back. The accommodation felt more like a business let rather than a room rental in a home. The description suggests you have the whole apartment to yourself but we discovered we were sharing it with another stranger and the bathroom, though exclusive for our use, was across the hall. Breakfast was one coffee and pastry at a cafe around the corner. This was probably our least successful Airbnb experience on this trip driving across Europe.

Mi dispiace, ma non posso scrivere tutto in Italiano! There was a misunderstanding over our booking - we had booked three rooms but only two were available when we arrived, and Stefania was away. Her parents were very helpful, however; they found another b&b nearby for one of us, and also went out of their way to help us with car parking problems. The house is well situated near the cathedral in the old town, but drivers need to beware of the narrow streets and fierce driving restrictions. The first-floor rooms we had were pleasant, quiet, very comfortable and spotlessly clean; there is also a spacious suite on the second floor. Breakfast, which consists of a sweet pastry and a cup of coffee in a nearby bar, is typically Italian but frugal! But I would not hesitate to recommend Il Cimiero to anyone wanting to stay in Bitonto, which is conveniently near Bari airport and Bari itself; the centro storico is an interesting maze of narrow lanes, decorative doorways, fine palazzi and churches, and is less tourist-ridden than better-known towns in the area.

We had a late flight to Bari and we were there at 02.00 at night. She was a lovely host though and we slep in a 'pictureframe' .The only thing that was awful....We were not aware of the fact that we could not park the car near the cathedral...€85,00 fine in the morning.
