Our apartment is part of a small complex on the canal in the heart of Mooloolaba. It is on the Ground Floor with a magnificent north-facing canal outlook. This is enhanced by the canal being very wide at this point.

It is located an easy walk from the main beach and all the cafes and restaurants that Mooloolaba is famous for. It is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of that strip to provide peace and quietness, but close enough for you to walk there should you want to.

The space

The apartment is ideal for a couple. The entire front of the apartment is windows over-looking the canal, hence you can almost feel that you are on a boat! It has an open plan kitchen/living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom and en suite. However, at this stage we offer the use of the whole unit with only one bedroom that contains a queen bed. This bedroom overlooks the canal and has its own en suite. Outside is a small courtyard where you can sit and watch the activity on the canal as small ‘tinnies’, canoes, kayaks and paddle boards pass by and fisher people trying their luck. The complex has a beautiful pool overlooking the canal that is open from 7am to 7pm. On most occasions you will have this to yourself!

Although our apartment does not have air conditioning, you will find the slight breeze off the canal cools the apartment down perfectly.

Guest access

Guests have access to the whole apartment except for one bedroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. You also have access to a lovely pool . . . often all to yourselves.

Interaction with guests

Although we don't live on site, we welcome as much interaction as guests require. We provide email and phone details for anyone wanting to contact us.

Other things to note

Inside the unit you will find most things that you require to make your stay comfortable. Because we regard it as our ‘second home’ we have attempted to provide most of the things you will need during your stay. This includes a coffee machine, wifi and Telstra TV (like Apple TV).

Great place to stay. Amazing views and good location 10minutes walk to beach, restaurants etc. David and Di were very quick to respond and were kind enough to offer us advice on where to eat etc. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

We had a really great stay at Di & David's apartment in Mooloolaba. It is equipped with everything you'll need to just arrive and relax. The position overlooking the canal is fantastic for people/ tinny watching! It's close enough to walk in about 5-10 minutes to the Main Street in Mooloolaba to reach restaurants, cafés, shops etc.

Di and David were perfect hosts even though we never actually met them. Communication was spot on and they were super understanding when we broke a wine glass and had a fake tan accident! The apartment is very modern and even better than the photos. It is in a wonderful location and very peaceful yet close to everything one needs. The place is fully equipped and we had a very nice and relaxing stay. Would highly recommend.

Di & David have a wonderful spot on the canal just out of town but still only a short walk to the main beach, shops, restaurants and bowls club. Rather than leaving guests to their own devices we were left a list of instructions which proved a great help. Rather than being left scratching our heads everything was set out nicely and easy to understand. We were briefed before hand about no air co but it wasn't required even on a 30+ day with the sliding door open and a refreshing breeze off the water. We have no hesitation in recommending to others.

David is a very helpful, organised and happy person. I booked its place last minute and he organised cleaning, early check-in. Thats is very generous. If you search for a peaceful, charming and quiet place with a view, stop looking: you just found it! Its here! The place is clean, tidy. We had everything we needed to cook everyday, brekkie on the terrace is just fantastic! The swimming pool is lovely... I will go back again definitely!

This is one of the best gems we have found on AirBnB. The place is amazing. Location is perfect, right on the water but in a quiet area. It's walking distance to everything, but far enough away from the busy streets to be completely relaxing and calm. We cooked everyday and found the kitchen and all amenities to be spot on. The upstairs neighbours were also lovely. We will definitely come back next year.

As keen travellers all our lives, we have seen a lot of our magnificent world. On many occasions we have stayed in and AirBnB and enjoyed the experience very much. Being a lot more personal than a hotel, we have met some wonderful people. Now it is our turn to offer our home to others. Although our permanent residence is in Melbourne, Victoria, we have owned our unit in Mooloolaba for several years but never let it out in this way before. Hence we are relative ‘newbies’ to hosting and look forward to sharing our little part of paradise with others of like mind. We think of the unit as our ‘second home’ rather than a holiday home. We hope that you find it as wonderful as we do.
