The space
This is our second off grid listing. After creating our first tiny house Airbnb we knew we wanted to make another . Here you can Sleep in a 12x16 off grid cabin with a four season bell tent . Stars and Sage is a remote location close to Amish farms and Oswego County snowmobile trail. We are ten minutes from Lake Ontario where you can fish, kayak, boat or enjoy a one of a kind sunset. Stars and Sage allows you to enjoy a magical evening under the stars for one night or more . Free range chickens and pet rabbits. Bring your bikes or cross country skis. The trail right along the property is perfect for both. Snowmobiling is also an option with the trail close by. Please bring all your camping needs including blankets and pillows and sheets for a queen size bed. If you decide to sleep in the tent there is a full size mattress. Both mattresses are lined with a plastic cover . There is a porta potty on the property and water jug with a spout for washing hands. During winter months water for washing up may not be available. There are two solar bag showers for you to use. You can use our hose to fill the shower bag and any water you need. Feel free to bring your own camping shower if desired as well.
The land has rough terrain so please be extra careful where you walk. It is strongly suggested to wear comfortable shoes or mud boots to walk the trail down to your site.
There is plenty of firewood on the property but it is strongly suggested to bring your own dry wood that can be purchased at any local stores or road side stands .We recommend a hatchet and even a hand saw. You will have a rock fire area. Please be certain to put the fire out when it is not in use or if you leave the property.
We recommend bug spray and flashlight. You will also have a picnic table in your campsite. There are also two chairs to sit at your site and relax. There is a stream that runs through the property. Feel free to fish when the waters are high enough. Stars and Sage is a one of a kind location for you to experience an off grid lifestyle in a remote location. The cabin has a glorious view of the stream. Inside you will find a queen size bed for sleeping. Feel free to camp in the tent if you choose or relax or meditate or do yoga by the water . The tent has a linoleum floor. There is no wifi. Cell service is good. We will also provide a one burner butane cooker, a Mr Buddy heater and snowshoes for two. There is zero electricity. Please bring your own drinking water. Enjoy!!

Upon check out, you should leave no trace of your stay. Be sure to return your campsite to its natural glory. Be sure to bring everything out that you brought for your stay including trash. If there is trash left or damage to the property you will be charged a minimum $50 cleaning fee.

We are situated right along Oswego county snowmobile trail. The trail runs along the east end of the property. The stream is ours to enjoy so hop in and look for some cray fish. Be careful for snapping turtles. We are also next door to a show horse farm which also has two donkeys. Our neighbors across the road are friendly and definitely keep an eye out for us. They have a friendly dog named Oakley that may come and visit.

We are a married couple that own our own business. We love to travel and love meeting new people. During our travels we always find ourselves collecting ideas to create our own personal getaway just steps from our back door. A place where you can just forget all your worries and focus on nothing, or one another. A place to take a moment and enjoy life .
The shed is an amazing place that we love and we would like to invite you to enjoy it as well. It is a one of a kind place to stay in NY while on your travels or just for the experience of an off grid life or just staying in a tiny house. A great place for an artist or writer or couples.
We are close to SUNY Oswego and close to Lake Ontario where you can kayak, paddle board, launch your boat, fish, or rent a paddle boat.
We are also the home to Fort Ontario a historic location which was featured on Ghost Hunters. Definitely haunted!
Come stay in a tiny house and see what it’s all about!! It’s an experience you will never forget!!
