My place is good for couples, business travellers, families .
Dogs may be allowed on request but they need to be kept off the furniture, under control and 100% cool with my Cat. She is my priority!
This is our family home and you are welcome to enjoy it in our absence, please treat it with the same respect you would treat your own.

The space

This is a lovely Victorian house, 10 minutes stroll from either Tavistock Town Centre, or the edge of Dartmoor. We have wifi, a fully equipped kitchen, freeview TV, netflix etc, lots of outside space, great views and a great location, Ample parking.
In most cases you will have the house almost entirely to yourselves, as only one downstairs room will be in use, but please feel free to contact me for clarification at time of booking.
We are happy to let just the master bedroom (ensuite with shower room) or if you are a family, we can add on a small double bedroom, plus the elegant upstairs sitting room has a comfy brand new double sofa bed.
Breakfast is not provided as such, but there will be tea, coffee, milk, butter etc and you will have no problem self catering in our lovely kitchen.
Please enquire about EARLY BIRD BOOKINGS discount. Any booking made more than a month in advance will always be at the guaranteed, lowest available, seasonal price.

Guest access

You will have sole use of our elegant upstairs lounge, use the dining room, shared family bathroom, (the master bedroom is ensuite and private just for you) the garden and the rest of the house. Only the study and private bedrooms will be out of bounds, but wifi is available throughout the house.
DO contact me with any questions, as it may be possible to increase guest numbers, provide more services, eg breakfast, packed lunches etc, depending on who is in residence at the time of your visit. The extra person charge of £25 only applies if an extra room is required, so for a child sharing their parents room, there will be no extra charge. If in doubt, just ask !!!

Interaction with guests

We will probably be absent, as we are often abroad, but our resident 'minder' will be occupying the downstairs bedroom. He will be out at work all day, so you will have the house and gardens to yourselves, but he is home and available to consult morning and evening if you need any advice or information.

Other things to note

This is not a magazine-perfect house, it is a clean, comfortable, much loved family home, that we are happy to share. We will leave sufficient space for you and your luggage but you will need to move around our own belongings.
Please feel free to use all and any amenities, but treat it with the same respect you would treat your own home.

Deborah's house is a wonderful Victorian place, full of wonderful high ceilings and a lovely view from the upstairs living room. The kitchen is well equipped and traditional (lovely black stone floor!) and there's plenty of space in the bedrooms. Tavistock was a great place to stay with a good range of facilities and plenty to see and do within a short drive.

Response from Deborah:
Having just returned from Portugal I was delighted to receive your kind note of thanks and to receive a full report from Princess Tiger Lili. She tells me you were gold star guests and she thoroughly enjoyed your company. Sorry the weather did not oblige for you - if you return to Tavistock I will do my best to arrange sunshine.
