Right in the heart of Silicon Valley's elite epicenter (Sand Hill Road), our 2 story guest house is your perfect home away from home. Inside there are 2 bedrooms (each has ensuite bathroom) plus an office with pull out couch, living room and another 1/2 bathroom. It sleeps 6 people comfortably and is spacious, with a lot of light. You’ll love the high-end flooring, high ceilings, comfy beds, open kitchen, and scenic views. It's great for business travelers, and families (with or without kids).

The space

Our home is ideally located, right off Woodside Road and a 5 minutes drive to Sand Hill Road and 7 minutes drive to Stanford. With a gated entrance, it has a private feel - yet the location is very central. It's equipped with the highest of standards (bedding, kitchen appliances) and is the perfect home away from home. In addition to the balcony and quiet surroundings, it has the luxury of 2 floors, an office, 2 TV's, and 2 1/2 bathrooms! The kitchen is complete with dishes, pots and pans, wine and water glasses, and all of the basics for a great stay.

The top floor has an open feel, with hard wood floors and high ceilings. The two downstairs bedrooms are complete with ensuite bathrooms (perfect for 2 co-workers!) and both bedrooms have garden views. We have all of the basic amenities like the washer/dryer, dishwasher, central heat, Internet/ WiFi and Netflix. We can also provide kids items like games, cribs, portable cribs and extra bedding if required. Contact us if we can help further clarify our space, house rules, etc.

Guest access

Guests have their own dedicated parking, as well as full access to a 2 story guest-house, with it's own patio and garden area. Pool access is not permitted. Please call Amanda or Julie should you have any questions... do not go to the home owner unless instructed to do so. Please stay in your patio and garden area and don't go exploring outside of your zone.

We provide a dedicated parking spot for 1 car. Additional vehicles need to be parked on the main road (near the gated entrance). Contact us if parking is an issue, or if you'll need another parking spot.

Interaction with guests

We like to meet our guests whenever possible and we're available when you need us, in case of questions!

Other things to note

There is a gated entrance, so you'll need a key code in order to access the property (available after booking). The owners live on-site. Please be respectful of noise levels. Only 1 car is permitted, except by special request.

- No pool or grounds access. You'll have your own patio and outside area... we ask that you respect the owner's privacy by sticking to your own zone
- Please remove shoes in the house
- Keep noise levels to a minimum between 9p-6a
- We use monitoring technology to check occupancy levels... please don't exceed 10 people in the house or more than 1 car unless we've agreed with the owner's that this is OK.
- Your parking area is on the left of the driveway. Please do not block the cars of the owners (white SUV's) - as they need to be able to get in and out of the driveway with ease. Only 1 car is permitted in the driveway - other vehicles must be parked on the main road, but due to the narrow driveway and limited parking, our home is best-suited for one vehicle.

Excellent value house with lots of space, nice outside spaces, and easy parking. No central AC, so the living room upstairs can get hot on hot days. Amanda brought over a small room AC for the room, and the downstairs bedrooms remain cool on their own. Showers have a window in them, what's up with that? Some windows could also use curtains to keep the sun out.

We're glad you liked our place! Based on your feedback, we purchased a Dyson cooling system. While hot days are not super common, the high-tech fan will be a great addition. It's pretty common in our area to skip central AC - and stick with central heat. Given the private setting and beautiful gardens, the home was designed to get a lot of natural light - we hate to cover up these views- but we'll keep thinking of ways to manage the late afternoon sun. Just in case others are wondering, the window at the top of the showers is for ventilation. As you mention, the sleeping areas downstairs are nice and cool with plenty of curtains. Like you, our guests are loving the larger space - beats 2 hotel rooms for sure! We hope to see you again soon!

Amanda was a wonderful host for this tastefully appointed guest cottage in Woodside. The home is convenient to anywhere in Silicon Valley (we were commuting to Stanford each day and it was easy), and was ideal for a family traveling during a working vacation or perhaps a small group visiting the Bay Area. Amenities were great (great WiFi, good kitchen, etc). Our host Amanda was truly above and beyond -- she did a great job problem-solving to arrange for our visit at the outset, provided great instructions and welcome, and was extremely easy to coordinate with on small issues during the week of our visit! Thank you Amanda! We will certainly look you up again when we return to the Bay Area!

Enjoyed our time at this serene, very private home. It was nestled in a woodsy area but still super close to lots of amenities (including horseback riding and biking!) and easy access to the freeway. The layout was great too - with the bathrooms downstairs, each having a private bath. Thanks to Amanda and her team for hosting us. Would definitely go back.

The house is very confortable and in a nice location, immersed in the green of woodside, although really close to the 280 freeway. the two rooms are located on the floor below and are fresher (good in summer) with a bathroom each. The upper floor is very open and also has a separate office with a convertible sofa (if needed). Amanda was super helpful in any occasion (checking, checkout) as well as when the washing machine broke (she replaced it very fast!). I'd recommend any of her properties!
