Such a lovely experience!!! The views are stunning! Definitely I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to go to Dominican Republic. Las terrenas is an awesome location with lots of things to do around. The hosts gave us all the privacy that we needed and all the facilities. AWESOME EXPERIENCE.

Adorable little spot tucked away in the hills of Las Terranes. It was perfect for the two nights we stayed for, but would have been difficult to stay much longer (we prefer air conditioning and a little nicer of places usually). But was very accurate for what pictures are provided. Beryl was super helpful with helping us communicate with our taxi driver on how to reach the house. Great people! Felt very safe.

La Casita is a quirky little place for a couple looking for an adventure in Las Terrenas. It is separated into an upper and lower portion with an additional outdoor patio with outdoor shower. It was different than other places I have stayed in the DR but I liked it. One downside about the divided levels. was having to walk upstairs in the dark to the bathroom which was in the upper level. There is Wi-Fi, but it isn't reliable. There are quite a few bugs, but there is a fan and a mosquito net - no AC. My wife had a bunch of bites each morning after she woke up. They were different from mosquito bites, so we suspect that there is a slight bed bug infestation with the linens of the bedroom. I, however, didn't have any issue with bugs. We sprayed a little bug spray after we showered and turned on the fan full blast and it wasn't too bad, but could have been more comfortable. Leif was very helpful and friendly. He picked us up from the bus stop and dropped us off when our stay was over. He responded quite well through (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) which was nice. La Casita is about a 10-15 minute walk from the action in Las Terrenas. We would walk it in the morning and take a Motoconcho at night. There is a steep climb from the street to La Casita. It isn't as crazy as other reviews have made it seem, but it isn't easy after having spent the entire day walking around and swimming. The upper portion of La Casita where the the kitchen and bathroom are located wasn't sealed off to protect from bugs. It wasn't an issue during the day, but if you turn on a light to cook dinner or go to the bathroom/take a shower, be prepared to be attacked by moths and mosquitos. I lived in the DR for 2 years, and this was my 3rd time visiting and I am used to bugs, but it was actually crazy how many would swarm the light at night. Again, it isn't that bad, but if you are used to no bugs and having AC, you had better go somewhere else. All in all, my wife had fun with our adventure - 4 nights - in La Casita, but we wouldn't go back. We would try to find something closer to the beach, that had AC in the bedroom, and was at least sealed off to prevent too many bugs from getting in. It was still a fun vacation and will not be forgotten.

My boyfriend and I spent an amazing holiday at Li's casita. The house is lovely with a lot of attention placed on small details. Despite being decorated very nicely we also had fresh flowers in every room during our whole stay. It is fully equipped with enough room for preparing our own meals. Our favourite spot was the terrace (including BBQ!) from which you can oversee the bay of Las Terrenas. Also, Li and his wife are amazing hosts – very welcoming and friendly. We bothered them a lot with questions during our stay and they were always very helpful and responsive. We would definitely come back!

Casa de li will always be our special place and we will be back with our kids! I can't say enough, how cool and helpful , and eager this family is to make sure your stay is great! Along with Las Terrenas their home is a piece of paradise all on its own. Their whole family and friend made this trip extra special with their presence. Thanks Leriche family:)

Leif and his wife Beryl are incredible hosts. They are warm, welcoming, and wonderful people. Very knowledgeable of the area and eager to help with tips and places to visit. Their home is breathtaking. Tucked away, a couple of kms from the town center, their house sits atop a hill overlooking the beach and town. It is a nature nut's dream come true. It is green everywhere - you'll feel the fresh, clean air invade your lungs the second you step out of your car. It is perfect for a trip amongst a few friends or even a romantic getaway. Simply put - you cannot top the value of this place. If I could give it 6 stars I would!
