About this listing

This spacious warehouse apartment is right in the heart of the historic Barbican - an area steeped in maritime history! A plethora of cafes, restaurants, gift shops, art galleries, a theatre, museum and the National Marine Aquarium are all right on the doorstep. Just around the corner you can also hop on a ferry to the lovely Cornish seaside villages of Kingsand/ Cawsand or go on a fishing trip. Perfect for large family get-togethers!

The space

The apartment is on the 2nd floor of an old stone warehouse building with stairs leading to a large attic space above, which is a perfect play space for children. There are stair-gates both at the top and the bottom of the stairs to keep small children safe. The lounge is a large open-plan living/ dining space. On warmer days you can open the warehouse doors wide and enjoy the sights and sounds of the historic Barbican from the comfort of your sofa with a delicious take-away from one of the local restaurants!

Other things to note

Please note - there are several cafes and restaurants nearby - some with quite noisy extractor fans which can be heard from the bedrooms at the rear. Music from a nearby pub can be heard from the rear bedrooms on Friday and Saturday nights. We don't recommend this apartment if you are very sensitive to noise. We supply ear-plugs, just in case it is a problem.

Liz and her location are both great. The place was large and spacious and right in the Barbican district. It was clean and very nicely appointed. Because of the tiny streets it was a little difficult to find the first time, but we figured it out quickly. Great communication and highly recommended

Just great! The apartment is even bigger and more beautiful than it looks in the pictures. It has been a true pleasure to spend three weeks there, and we already miss it ! Everything looked brand new, with all the comforts, beautiful decoration and very pleasant to spend time in when it rains. An ideal place for a family with kids, Liz also provided baby equipment and toys/books for our daughters. She was more than helpful, friendly, nice and available all the way!! From the moment we booked the place, till the very last day- she was always willing to help and she gave us great advice concerning some places to visit. The apartment is located in the best part of Plymouth's most lively and scenic neighbourhood, the Barbican. We loved wondering around the harbour, and walking to the Hoe by the road on the coast, that features the best view on the Channel. We also enjoyed very much the restaurants and pubs just across the street. Finally, from the Barbican you can take the Ferry to explore some nice beaches and natural areas around Plymouth. Parking was also easy few minutes away from the flat. To conclude, a great stay and a memorable experience for all the family: thank you Liz for all !!

Such a fantastic space. Tucked away right in the heart of the Barbican - the best part of Plymouth (I previously lived just down the road). The flat is superb, a wonderful amount of space, presented wonderfully and everything we needed catered for. Thank you so much!
