The space
Things to note:
-The upstairs is more of an open floor plan. The master bedroom is upstairs and does not have a bedroom door, but is open with a wall that separates it to the living room. Master bathroom has to be entered from the master bedroom.

-We have a full size futon that sleeps 2 in the living room. The master bedroom offers a comfy king size bed and the bedroom downstairs has a comfy king bed. There is also a sleeping couch (twin size) on the screened in deck if you enjoy the enclosed outdoors! :-)

-We love the kiddies, but do not have a crib. Also, this house has many steps, so please watch your kiddies at all times!

-We have games, books and movies at the house for your relaxation pleasure. We also have sand toys for your use at the beach. 2 televisions upstairs with Roku/Netflix provided. Sorry, no basic cable.

-Basic amenities will be provided, such as towels (bath, not beach), soaps, shampoos, linens.

-NO SMOKING in or around the house/deck. Please dispose of your cigarette butts appropriately. NOT IN THE POND!

-NO DRUGS. You will be asked to leave and no refunds will be given.

-There are animals on this property. The quackers (ducks) enjoy being fed while Prissy and Amore, our resident kitties, loved to be petted. Our foot-long Koi will take any handout you have to give. We give you duck/koi food to share with them!

-The kitchen has a toaster oven which will cook most everything great! The smooth top stove-THERE IS NO OVEN- works great, as does the microwave and fridge (has all new filters for fresh ice and water!) Microwave, coffee pot, blender also provided.

-The whole house is wired for sound-literally. Enjoy your music on the deck, in the bedroom or living room, or in all three!

-Singles, couples, families welcome. Kid-friendly. Non-discriminatory.

-Sportsmen, fishermen and hunters always welcome as well!

-Off the beaten path, but within an hour's drive to sightseeing, activities, and restaurants.

Guest access
You have use of the whole house, with exception of the garage. Feel free to roam the property surrounding the pond. PLEASE NOTE: WE NOT LONGER HAVE A DOCK AVAILABLE DUE TO HURRICANE DAMAGE!

Bring your boat(s), toys and fishing gear. Plenty of room for parking all of them. We have a covered carport and area for washing salty toys. Boat ram is approximately 5 miles away.

Other things to note
This is a wonderful place for an artist's or writer's retreat. Have a girls getaway, crafter's weekend or honeymoon. Sportsman friendly! Great overnight stay for your drive from/to the Cedar Island ferry!

We are a little off the beaten path, which makes us a great relaxation station! Spend your days at the beach, visit Cape Lookout Lighthouse, photograph the wild ponies at Shack or fish from your boat. There's even horseback riding on the beach in Cedar Island. Evenings are for board games, relaxing on the deck, reading a book or sitting by the pond.

The Down East area is a major fishing area, including shrimping and blue crabs. The natural scenery and sunsets are a photographer's dream and the land is steeped in a deep, cultural history. Drive to Marshallberg Harbor and see the lighthouse in the distance. Great at sunset!
