Cute studio in detached outbuilding! This room has the essentials - TV (w/Netflix), WiFi, microwave, desk, dishes, bathroom amenities and more. It's small but private - it's separate from the main house so no need to worry about noise! It's in the heart of downtown Palmer, perfect for walking around town or using Palmer as your base camp for exploring Alaska. Safe, secure and family-friendly. We're here to make sure your stay in Alaska is top-notch. We're happy to help with your travel plans!

The space
Pets are welcome for an additional fee of $45 per stay, per pet. If you have allergies, let us know. We'll be sure to rid the place of pet dander prior to your arrival. We very rarely have guests that bring pets (we don’t own any ourselves) so don’t worry too much about excess fur and dander. There is a large, fenced yard, so (friendly) outdoor pets are also welcome. Sit out and enjoy the weather, have a BBQ, play in the garden!

Bed is full-size and comfy. There are two steps into the property so it's not wheelchair accessible. There's no cable service but we have Netflix and it's a smart TV so you can connect to your Hulu or Amazon accounts.

A microwave and hot plate are available for your use - if you need access to a stove or oven, we can likely arrange for you to use the one in the main house, provided we are home. Just let us know.

The cottage is close to hiking trails, amazing Hatcher Pass recreational area, and in the heart of Alaska’s greatest town! Palmer is “Alaska at its Best!”

Right downtown - quiet, quaint and beautiful. Palmer is nestled in the Matanuska Valley - surrounded by mountains and water. An awesome hub for getting around Alaska. The neighborhood is very safe. Palmer was rated the second safest city in Alaska!

Within walking distance you have all the amenities (and fun) you need! Full service grocery/department stores are within a 1/2 mile. Palmer has a variety of great shops to peruse and fantastic restaurants. All within a mile of our home. There's a park nearby that kids will love, bike trails for the outdoor folks, and plenty of park benches along the way for taking a breather.

We are located in the main house, just next door. We're available 24/7 to help you out if needed, and we'll likely be there to greet you upon arrival. If you need a tour guide, we can probably help! We're lifelong Palmerites so we know the lay of the land pretty well!

We can be around as little or as much as you'd like - just let us know if you want company! We host collegiate baseball players in the summer in our main house so you'll likely see a couple guys hanging out throughout the day, as well.
