Neighbourhood highlights

The charming village of Bladon is located on the South-East edge of the Blenheim Palace Estate. St Martin’s Church, a mere 2 minute stroll from the property, is the final resting place of Sir Winston Churchill and still a place of pilgrimage for many. Across the road is the Bladon Gate entrance to the Blenheim Estate, from where you can walk to the Palace or explore the extensive park. The historic market town of Woodstock is just around the corner – 3 minutes by car or a 20/30 minute stroll through the Blenheim Estate (valid ticket required). Woodstock has many charming pubs and delicious restaurants and cafes, although the White House Pub in Bladon, just across the road, is also very welcoming and serves delicious food most evenings.

There are many walks through fields and woodland which can be accessed from a gate at the back of the main garden, and the next-door village of Long Hanborough (3 minutes away) has a train station which serves both Oxford and London… all this just 20 minutes from the Dreaming Spires of Oxford!

My work: Company Director
I am a work-from-home mother of two who loves chatting with friends, good food and spending time with my kids. Having worked in the travel industry for many years I understand what people want when they go somewhere new. I believe that travel is so much more than 'seeing' a place - you have to eat it, walk it, breathe it, touch it, chat, ask, question and learn. My greatest wish is that my children can grow up to understand this, and realise how enriching not just travelling, but meeting people from other places can be.
