Welcome! This is our second addition to "The Brick House". This beautiful, bright and spacious 1st floor apartment is newly renovated and tucked away in the heart of nature, yet only a few miles from town. Experience that authentic getaway feel!
This spacious yet cozy 2 bedroom ground floor apartment is just one of 3 completely separate units in this unique Brick House, built in 1965. It was originally referred to as the "Guest House" and just one of several dwellings on this spectacular Estate. The Brick House is set back about a mile into the woods. The quiet and peacefulness is experienced as soon as you enter onto the property. The apartment is fully equipped with all you'll need to ensure a special stay. This is your home away from home! The peace, quiet and stillness that surrounds you, will surely nurture your soul!
The yards, gas grill outdoors, all outdoor seating, the outdoor fire pits, woods, woods and more woods!
Interaction with guests
I occupy my own private studio within the house on the second floor. When not home, always available via text.
Other things to note
You're literally vacationing in the middle of the woods yet a short drive to civilization. A 2-3 mile drive out to convenience stores, supermarket, specialty shops & boutiques, restaurants, summer flea market and numerous local events. We are located in close proximity to ski venues ... Bellayre Mountain. (Winter Skiing/Summer Concerts/Events)
* During the muddy and snowy seasons ... bring comfy slippers. Shoes are to be left in the mudroom.
* No ski equipment in the apartment, to be left in the mudroom only.
* Smoking is only acceptable outside. Please extinguish and remove all cigarette butts properly.
Welcome to the beautiful Catskill Mountains! I made the permanent transition to reside among nature back in 1990. I was totally prepared for a complete lifestyle change. Connecting to the sky, the earth, wildlife and a more harmonious inner pace ... provided me with a greater sense of peace, balance and purpose. There is profound healing in these hills! To me ... life is all about discovering oneself. What makes your heart sing?
