- Adults only place. Teens may be accepted upon previous agreement.
- You must agree that you understand staying on a boat is different than in an apartment, that space will be more crowded and that you are fine with it. Our boat has a total of 4 cabins meaning that up to 8 people may be living together.
- Sorry no smoking anywhere on board, including the deck, for security reasons. With Aruba's high winds embers are a hazard for our equipment.
- Watch your step: a boat is a moving environment, even in a marina, always hold yourself when climbing or descending stairs.
- Do not lean on the pilot-house windows: we have large windows all around the pilot-house. Do not step or lean on them they may break and cut you.
- Respect the other guests, do not make noise or talk loudly on board past 10 pm. There is a bar in the marina waiting for your late and animated patronage.
- Electricity and water are extremely expensive in Aruba. Please do not waste them. Cut off the lights and fans when away from your cabin.
- Try to use soft, foldable luggage, space is limited on a boat.
- Our boat is not suitable for people with impaired mobility.

Long term stays: We will change your bed sheets and towels once a week.

You must also acknowledge
Must climb stairs - Steep stair to climb down inside the Pilot House
Pet(s) live on property - 2 cats on board when they are not running around

We enjoyed out stay. They are very friendly and talkative. We had the pleasure to stay at the same time as their kids. That created a family environment. Internet is ok and charging phones is no problem. One remark about the location: You are dependent of the host to travel to/from the city center. If not, you take a cab or a private bus; wich will be an added cost to consider. No problem for arrival and drop-Off at the AirPort though. If all rooms are booked it is quite crowded in and on the boat. Price/quality for Aruba is correct.

Response from JoAnn & Paul:
Florence we are one of the very few vacation rentals offering a free shuttle service to downtown for our price range. Using this free service requires our guests to be ready at the agreed time. With being more than 1/2 an hour late twice in a row, you and your friend created an issue which should not have existed and that you represent here has a dependence. Our guests can always use the private buses or taxis to come back, but then they have to pay for it. Like in all other vacation rentals.

Paul's boat is big and comfortable, the atmosphere is always relaxed, easy to feel well and at ease around the host and his 2 cats, a wonderful experience if you are willing to try something different, Paul is a solid, witty and gracious fellow, had a very good time at his place and Aruba at large .

As a solo-traveler to Aruba, my time on the boat was excellent. Paul is a very accommodating host, offering a shuttle to and from the city, although I opted to rent a car to explore the island freely. There is an excellent bar right next to the boat in the marina. If traveling as a couple, I would confirm who else is on the boat at that time. Too many people and I'm sure it would feel crowded taking turns for a shower. If you are traveling solo, book immediately! You will not be disappointed.

Response from JoAnn & Paul:
Cory, we're glad you enjoyed your time with us. Please do not worry about the enjoyment couples find while staying with us. We mostly had such parties and almost all loved staying on our boat. Now you are right to emphasize that a boat is not an apartment or hotel, it's a small space and you have to understand that before booking to enjoy your time. We hope to see you again with your girl friend and the new on site seafood restaurant will be opened then. Take care.

Response from JoAnn & Paul:
Chris, I am sorry about the litter box. You arrived the day JoAnn left and it is usually her task to take care of it... I might not have been as efficient as her. I will make sure it will be perfect when you come back and there will always be room for you and your family

There is plenty of room on JoAnn and Paul's boat. The bed was comfortable, shower did the trick, and there's even room in a second fridge to keep drinks cold. It's a nice change of pace to wake up to the sounds of the marina instead of an alarm clock! Watching the sun set from boat with the gulls flying around was an excellent reset from grind back home. If you have any questions before your trip, JoAnn and Paul are quick to respond. During my stay, JoAnn and Paul made me feel welcome and had the inside track on where to go to make the most out of my trip. Looking for something out of the ordinary? Book a stay on this boat - you'll be glad you did!

This was most affordable for me as a solo traveler! I was nervous about sleeping on the water as I had never slept on a boat but it turned out to be perfect! I loved my stay in the V cabin. This location provides easy access to nearby bus stops and hotels where you can catch a taxi if needed. Paul and JoAnn were more than welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. I would DEFINITELY stay with them the next time I visit Aruba!

From the moment you arrive you feel at home. If you are new to the island, Paul has a wealth of useful information for any curious explorer or just the common beach goer. JoAnn has a wonderful welcoming feeling to her with an infectious smile. Have an open mind and enjoy this one if a kind experience.
