Our stay at the lodge so just what we needed. The lodge was really cosy, comfy and surprisingly spacious. The warm lighting and layout work lovely... just minutes from supermarkets and takeaways. not to mention a complimentary bottle of wine sitting on the table when I arrive after having an extremely long journey from Swansea with two one year olds. Very thoughtful and much needed! Usually book hotels but the setting was second to none. We will come again. Thanks sheryl! Xx

Catkin lodge is the perfect base to explore the area . Very easy access from the motorway and, although very close, the faint background noise doesn’t encroach on what is a cosy, comfortable lodge in a peaceful setting . Perfect for baby/dog. We had a wonderful time . Kitchen is very well equipped which helps if you’re stuck indoors due to the rain !

Overall great stay and experience. One major problem is that bathrooms/toilet doesn't have a lock which we found real challenging and embarrassing. Please get locks in bathroom, with three bedrooms and no lock in bathroom was major set back. But otherwise great experience. Would highly recommend.

Spacious cabin in a good location, the nearby town of Carnforth was lovely little gem. Check in was easy, kids loved the Wifi and Sky. couple of minor hicups with maintanence and cleaning but these were soon rectified by Sheryl. There were 6 of us, including 4 older teenagers and we all fitted in, were able to sit around the dining table which you cant do in a caravan, so that was a bonus. One thing to note is that U16's need to be accompanied in the leisure facilities on site, which was a tad annoying as 2 x 6ft tall 14 year old boys are ok in a pool themselves, but that the site rules nothing to do with Sheryl. We ate at the Eagles Head, decent prices and they have steak night specials. We also visited the Canal Turn which was lovely to sit and watch all the barges go by. It a good base for exploring the lake district, Lancaster and Morecombe.

We are a family run holiday let company, Lakeland-lodges, we have 34 lodges on South Lakeland Leisure village. Which is just off the M6 and the gateway to the lakes. We can recommend places to visit, eating out and also decorate a lodge for a special occasion
