Our gorgeous wee pod sits in our organic garden under a cherry tree. It comprises two single beds + a small cupboard unit with kettle, tea, coffee + electric heater.
We designed + built it ourselves + we are very excited to share it with you! It is a simple, high quality space: beautiful clean lines, pale wood + white walls making for a calm, tranquil atmosphere.

There's a deck out front to sit out and enjoy the garden and a lovely (shared) wooden bathroom just at the other end of the lawn.

The space
We offer a relaxed, friendly, good-value space in the heart of the village. An easy walk to pubs, restaurants, galleries and all the other numerous amenities Ullapool has to offer - we provide a convenient, affordable space for folk who just want a clean, comfortable bed for the night (or nights:) ) with proper coffee in the morning.
The bathroom is a newly built, light and airy wooden outdoor bathroom located just across the lawn - please note, access requires going outside!

Guest access
Our garden is organic, we have bees, hens, dogs, cats and guinea pigs... Guests are welcome to explore the garden, and if they have children, they are welcome to play on the treehouse!

Other things to note
Ullapool is super-friendly - the comment we hear more than any other is that guests wish they had arranged to spend a longer stretch of time here! So if you're only booking for one night, please consider extending it to at least two... :)

I love travelling. I've lived in Denmark, Portugal, South Africa, Edinburgh and various other places, but in 2013 I opted to come back home to the west coast of Scotland to raise my three children. We all love it here and are excited to share it with folks from all around the world. The mountains, the sea, the light, the food, the art, the people...this really is a wonderful place to be! We have a gorgeous lurcher dog, three incredibly friendly cats, two guinea pigs, three hens and a varying number of bee hives - all calling our beautiful organic garden in Ullapool village home. Ullapool is a brilliant place to stop, take stock and re-stock on a trip around the wilder corners of Scotland. We have everything you could need here: theatre, galleries, markets, boat trips, shops, restaurants, festivals... It is a busy, bustling wee place, especially considering it has under 2 000 residents. The Ullapool - Stornoway ferry route and the good roads linking us to Inverness make us a really crucial spot on pretty much any Highland route.

During your stay
This is a family business. It is Janis' name on the AirBnB profile, and she's usually the one to do the on line stuff, but when you arrive everyone that lives here is a part of making you welcome. Please don't expect to ONLY deal with Janis - Ullapool is really busy in season, so everyone works a few jobs and we all pitch in to make this place the happy welcoming space that it is.
We prefer to let you arrive and make your way to the tent in your own time - they are clearly labelled. So just turn up, settle in, then, when you're ready, you are welcome to come and say hi if you want to...we also understand if you just want chill quietly and enjoy the peace of the pod!
If possible, please take the time to greet and chat to the other guests - it's part of what makes Quercus a special place to be! :)
