Escape for a vacation to the Alabama Gulf Coast in our Worthington upstairs queen room. This nostalgic room overlooks south towards the front yard and canopy Oak trees through the original wavy glass window. The sitting area offers a private spot for reading, personal reflection, or watching the TV, all with a south view of live oak trees lining the property in the background through the wavy glass window. An amazing retreat complete with all the touches one would expect and while rustic to reflect the period, the décor is immaculate and polished. This queen bedroom is a model of what an old “Southern” bedroom should be, This room is prefect for couples. Your bedroom is beautifully appointed with Luxury High Thread Count Linens, Cable TV, and WIFI. Private Bath includes a number of soaps and shampoos, Iron & Ironing Board, Hairdryer, and Lighted Magnifying Mirror.
Common Areas are the Great Hall, Den, Wraparound Porches, and Magnolia River Access. Only areas inside the home that are off limits are the kitchen and office. Central to this community is the river -- today the Magnolia River remains the only river route mail delivery in the continental United States. Quaint boathouses grace each shore, water birds swoop and dive, and the river banks are lush with wildlife and greenery. The Magnolia River received the state's highest environmental designation, Outstanding Alabama Water by the Alabama Environmental Management Commission.

Other things to note
If you are planning on eating at Jesse's within walking distance (We highly recommend you do for it is the best restaurant in the county. We are not just saying that to support them. Go read their reviews and you will know. We support them because they are the best at what they do and only add to a great experience!) please make your reservation in advance in order to get in. People will drive an hour one way just to eat there, it is that special and great!
You can go to their website to read menus and make reservation or just go to yelp reservations to make your reservation.
When using GPS please know that if instructions tell you to turn on Jessamine St off Hwy 98 it will turn into a dirt service road and should not be used. Please turn off Hwy 98 onto County Road 49 or Pecan Grove St to get to Oak Street and you will find us on the corner of Oak and Jessamine St. This way you will arrive using paved roads instead of a dirt road for communication towers. Once you are here parking is in the back and guest enter through the back deck door which is designated for overnight guest only.
Check In: 3-6pm.
After 6pm - If we can't be here your key and instructions will be in a mailbox to the right of the back deck door.

Quiet time(after 10pm) - Please do your best to slide quietly into your room, because this isn’t a hotel w/ insulated concrete walls. It’s a 120 year old all wood structure and things like hard sole shoes walking across the floor and loud talking can vibrate all through the house. I don’t want to make you feel like you can’t move about as you wish; I just appreciate that you will be aware of the noise level and not disturb other guests who are already down for the night as you will be sharing the house with others.
