Stay in our former stable block converted in 2017 into a stunning studio apartment overlooking a vineyard in Barranco Ferrer (in the municipality of Rubite and accessed by a steep 1.5km mountain road) and only 7km from the lovely beaches of the Costa Tropical. Best of both worlds from only €30 per night! Big enough for a child's bed or a travel cot at an additional small charge.

The space
This is a brand new stable conversion, completed for the 2017 season.
It boasts a comfortable double bed, a fully equipped kitchen (with electric 4-hobs and an oven), a washing machine for long stays, and a brand new, fully equipped bathroom with shower. Bed linen and indoor towels are provided by us, but please bring your own outdoor towels for use at the pool/hot tub (open all summer) and beach.

Overlooking the valley beyond the village, the Vine Studio is above one of the village vineyards, and Mike and Lucy will leave you a complimentary bottle of their delicious organic red wine, made from the very grapes you can see growing outside your window.

Guest access
It has parking next door, a private terrace with BBQ, and is just a few metres away from the shared pool and jacuzzi (open in summer).

Other things to note
Car hire is essential, as the village is only accessed by crossing a dried up river bed and then climbing up a 1.5km tarmacked track/narrow road. Many villages in this part of Spain have similar access roads, and this all adds to the charm of life in rural and unspoilt Spain.

The nearest town is Castell de Ferro, on the coast 7km away. There you will find all modern conveniences.

FREE WIFI

Here in rural Andalucia we have FREE WIFI installed for your convenience and enjoyment. However, our speeds are relatively slow at 3mb maximum.
The code you will require is written on a label on the router.
HOWEVER, certain new i-phones and similar devices will NOT pick up the signal as the speed is under 4mb, and they will only operate at speeds of 4mb or more. You may have to re-set your device.
If the code on the label does not work on your device, please tell us immediately (although not at 10pm!) and we will try and help you resolve the issue.

We moved to Spain in 2001, to this beautiful and sunny part of Andalucia. We live in a stunningly rebuilt white mountain village, El Ferrer, just 10 minutes from the sparkling, warm, clear waters of the Mediterranean, and some of the best, emptiest beaches in Southern Spain. We are also just one hour from the amazing city of Granada, and also just one hour from the major Spanish cities of Malaga and Almeria.
