Bank Chambers is a conversion of the upper floors of a Grade II listed building that was one of the oldest bank buildings outside London. Built in 1881 of red brick construction as a statement of prosperity, instead of the more commonly used stone of the Georgian era, the building sits prominently above its surroundings in the centre of the market town of Knaresborough in North Yorkshire.

The space

Apartment 1 is a one bedroom apartment, located on the second floor. In this apartment original feature cupboards have been repurposed as kitchen storage and a large bedroom wardrobe. The apartment has a spacious double bedroom, a modern kitchen-diner with a double sofa bed for occasional use and a spacious shower room.

Interaction with guests

In Hot Property operate smart locks with the ability to check guests in remotely. We enjoy hosting guests from all over the world and where we can, we try to meet guests to show them around the apartment. Me and 3 of my friends spent 3 nights in Mark's apartment and it was fab! Great location, enough space for all of us and lovely little flat. Mark was great with communication and questions especially when we had random issues with doors and was a great help. Would recommend and stay again. Thanks Mark

The apartment is just beautiful, it has a very cosy feel about it. There isn't a thing I would change, it's in a perfect location. Tesco literally a minutes walk, coffee shops, bakerys, takeaways all within minutes of the apartment. And then a 5 minute walk to the some of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. We had a slight issue when first arriving at the apartment, I couldn't get the pin code to work but literally within a few minutes of contacting Mark, the problem was solved. Would absolutely recommend the apartment.

Great central location and as advertised. We had a few problems with the fridge and bedding on arrival but the host responded immediately and the problems we're resolved within a couple of hours. Recommended.

Brothers, Rob & Mark Hodgkiss formed their company, In Hot Property, in the spring of 2016. In Hot Property operates sophisticated short stay rentals in London, Yorkshire and Norfolk. We are both family orientated and love travelling in the UK and abroad. We absolutely love being able to offer a great alternative to expensive hotels for family holidays and allowing a home from home experience without having to pack everything including the kitchen sink.
