In a gated compound, adjacent to the beach, this beautiful 2nd floor casita has a double bed, private bathroom, private balcony overlooking the ocean. Right in the center of Punta Rucia, with restaurants, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, nature walks right on our doorstep. Relaxing hammocks or loungers right on the beach, 24 hour security, friendly staff. In-room refrigerator, use of outdoor kitchen. Great for couples, or solo adventurers. Need two rooms? See our other listing.

The space

Tastefully decorated room with a double bed. Hot water, 24 hour power, and fast WiFi. In-room refrigerator, ceiling fan and cool ocean breeze at night. Mosquito netting on all windows. Free morning coffee in our outdoor kitchen.

Guest access

Completely private, with your own access and key. Plenty of secure parking and private beach area directly in front of the compound. You can eat out, or use our outdoor kitchen with gas hot plate, toaster oven, coffee maker (coffee included) and barbecue.

Interaction with guests

We have very friendly staff, onsite 24 hours, who can provide directions and recommendations for local services, restaurants, etc. If you need ice, cold beer, or other supplies, no problem!

Other things to note

Punta Rucia is a great "getaway" location that retains much of the charm of the obscure fishing village it used to be. You can take a walk on one of the many beautiful beaches on our doorstep - even walk to Playa Ensenada. Or just relax on your private balcony or the beach in front of your casita. Punta Rucia is also the jumping off point for the Paradise Island tour, and the 27 waterfalls of Rio Damajagua are within reach. There is a well equipped colmado for local supplies, restaurants - but no bank. The nearest ATM is in Villa Isabela, 25 km from Punta Rucia. Good roads and an easy drive from Santiago or Puerto Plata. Transport available at a subsidized rate, if required.

Erics house is just 10 seconds away from the beach. The water is absolutely clear and a trip to the Paradise Island is a must in the morning hours before all big tourist boats arrive! We also took the kayaks to explore the coast. René is very helpful no matter what problem your are dealing with. Eric organized us a driver from Puerto Plata to Punta Rucia (first we wanted to travel by local buses but it is pretty hard to get to Erics place). The extra transportation cost were totally accurate and it was a pleasure to meet Biek! We definately recommend to stay at Erics house in Punta Rucia!!!

We stayed on the second floor of this nicely decorated place. We had a nice view of the beach and sunsets. Eric was responsive and very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay.

Eric was very helpful with tips and recommendations of the area. While, Eric was not on site but his host were very friendly and accommodating. We had a pleasant stay, and I would recommend Eric's place if you are looking for a place to stay in Punta Rucia. You must do snorkel around the area; the place is absolutely photogenic. Enjoy!

We were amazed by Villa Nadine- the amazing beach front view, the spacious rooms and most overall, by Eric's hospitality. The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms were spacious with running hot water. Punta Rucia is a sleepy fishing town, even mostly untouched by off the grid foreign travellers. We had a great time drinking and dancing at Domingo's across the street, eating fresh fish on the beach at nearby Playa Ensenada and visiting Paradise Island (we would strongly recommend getting there early before the resort boats bring massive amounts of people-we were lucky to have 2 hours to ourselves there before the masses arrived). Our only regret is the short time we scheduled to be there. Next time we will extend our visit to Villa Nadine. We can't wait until our next visit!
