The space
Casa Sumaj is a cozy cabin located in Barrio Sumaj Pacha. It has 3 bedrooms on the first floor, it is ideal for 6/7 people. The accommodation has 2 floors and all the bedrooms are on the top floor. On the ground floor there is a full living room, 1 full bathroom, a large gallery and an equipped kitchen.
Its views of the hills are incredible and from the large windows you can see the Pucara de Tilcara (an ancient fortress). Located in a neighborhood in full development and with neighbors we have known for years, it is perfect for groups of travelers or families looking for privacy and tranquility.

Sumaj Pacha is a neighborhood 4 km before arriving in Tilcara, with rural characteristics, relatively new, still with many houses under construction, very quiet and safe. Ideal to get to know the inhabitants of the area and get closer to the culture of the place.

Strategically located for quick and easy access to the main tourist destinations of the gorge. In Sumaj Pacha you will find mini market, bakery, playground for children and mainly the hospitality and warmth of the people.

I live in San Salvador de Jujuy, a place that I love and that I choose every day. Life here is very laid-back, with the typical pace of a town in the heart of the country. You work in the morning, go home for lunch with your family at midday, enjoy a restful siesta, and then get back to work. The distances are very short, and in general everything is close by. My homeland has a cultural treasure that remains alive and is passed down from generation to generation through celebrations, festivals and events in which I actively participate, such as the celebration of the Pachamama or the Carnaval del Norte. The beauty of the land along my route is a separate matter. Even though I was born in Jujuy, the landscapes still move me. They have a striking and unique beauty. I share these moments with my family. I like being a mum to my little ones and I enjoy them very much. I am a nutritionist and for a few months I discovered what it was like to be a "host" receiving guests, in Jujuy capital and Tilcara, task that I am excited and presented as a new challenge. Tilcara is a very special place. It's my dad's legacy, and today I'm following in his footsteps in the art of "receiving people and welcoming them".
