Centrally located - just 0.7 miles to the middle of West Asheville - with the eateries & bars it's known for, and minutes to I-240. Our spacious 2-story home has an open floor plan on the main floor with a propane fireplace and large flat screen TV. The bedrooms upstairs have new Casper won't want to leave your bed! There is also a large open office space upstairs.

There is a basement apartment with a long-term renter. Separate parking and access. The current renter has dogs.

The space

Our West Asheville arts-and-crafts style home is set up with comfort in mind. We made sure that the beds are the absolute best, the kitchen is stocked with equipment for convenient cooking and dining, and the living room is warm and welcoming. The large deck offers a year round hang-out and is 1/2 covered with a ceiling fan to keep you cool. Even though we're in the center of West Asheville, you'll enjoy mountain views from many windows. Our home is bright, spacious, and clean.

Our West Asheville location is also minutes from Downtown, the River Arts District, Biltmore Village, Best Creek Forest and more.

(We will consider dogs. Ask in your reservation request, let's talk).

When you decide to get out and explore, it's a quick and easy walk, 0.7 miles, 15 minutes, to the Haywood Rd. corridor that goes east and west through West Asheville. Walk to breakfast at Biscuit Head or Sunny Point. Enjoy live music or a meal at Isis. Make reservations for renowned The Admiral, or visit any of the multitudes of cafes, bars and restaurants in West Asheville. On the edge of the neighborhood runs the French Broad River, dividing Downtown Asheville and West Asheville, and housing the new stat-of-the-art New Belgium Brewery, which overlooks the river.

After exploring your neighborhood it's only a few miles to The River Arts District and all it has to offer with local artists studios and more restaurants and breweries.

Another mile over the river will take you to the South Slope and Downtown Asheville with more breweries, restaurants, art and boutiques.

This was an unusual stay for us, as we booked the house for three months over the summer, as we were deciding whether to move to Asheville or not. It suited us perfectly! Very well represented in the photos, it was spacious and airy, with a large kitchen and bedrooms, and a lovely deck (partially covered with a roof and ceiling fan, and partially open) where we spent many evenings. Great location near the main commercial area of West Asheville. Sue and her husband Tom were very responsive to our needs (again, some unusual as were there for a longer term than most Airbnb rentals) and a delight to get to know. We would definitely recommend our hosts and this property for any length of stay, short or long.

Although we didn't get to meet Susan, she was a wonderful host, and checking in and out was very easy. The house was beautiful and very convenient to both downtown and west Asheville. I highly recommend this place!
