We stayed for 2 nights and glad we didn't book any longer... it's an unique place if your looking to explore the back country of Oahu, although would consider this place one step above camping. If you plan on staying at multiple locations around Oahu, make this your first destination to ensure the remainder of your trip only gets better (in terms of quality).

Had a great time at Casey and Shae's place - truly is a hidden gem tucked away on the hillside and would definitely come back! Great views and vibes - highly recommend.

Detailed review... Pros: The grounds are stunning. We woke up to beautiful views each morning. One morning we saw wild horses roaming mt ka'ala while lounging on the sun deck. The outdoor shower was amazing. It was the highlight of our stay. There were bunch of anole geckos waiting to lap up water each time we showered which were fun to look at even though they are unfortunately an invasive species. We were encouraged to roam the property which is very beautiful (although much closer to other guests than we realized from the photos). The stars are incredible and reminded me of my time living on Lanaí. The bed and bedding was very nice as far as "glamping" goes. The roosters replaced our alarms most of our stay. We didn't mind. The property is very close to an amazing coffee shop Brew & Foam. We went every day for the most delicious coffee. Another place we really liked was the Beet Box Cafe in Haleiwa which satisfied our organic minded palettes. We stopped in at least once a day. There were many fruit trees on the property and if we had been able to pick any I'm sure it would have been lovely. Cons: Unfortunately nearly all of the fruit had already been picked or wasn't ripe so there wasn't much to eat in that regard. We did make eggs from the hens one morning but there were maggots in the trash in the kitchen and it wasn't taken out at all during our stay. It made using the kitchen unappealing so we didn't. We were told the evening before that there would be a private dinner the following day. The kitchen and the seating area was being used so we ended up huddled up together eating dinner in our tentalo that evening. With the dinner party being so close to our tentalo, falling asleep was difficult due to the noise. We had already scheduled a nonrefundable shark dive for the following morning before learning this and had to be up at 4:30am the next day. The lack of sleep was a bit of a downer our last night. We would have sincerely appreciated being made aware of this when we checked in so we could plan better. Our first night, there was only a small amount of toilet paper provided but it was too late to find any in the middle of the night. Ben was very quick to get us some the following morning when we let him know. Bug spray is definitely something to pack. It's Hawaii so there are lots of critters but I'm use to island living so the cockroaches didn't bother me. We love Waialua and we loved waking up to the beautiful scenery. My favorite aspects of the property were the feeling of remoteness while still being so close to everything. If you have the time check out Waimea valley but bring bug spray and comfortable shoes (a swimsuit if you care to...

Lovely surroundings, unique experience but didn't deliver on basic ammenities that even an off grid accommodation should provide.
