I am away, but the house manager is available to greet and help you. The house is on the market for sale so there may be viewings with the estate agent.

The neighbourhood

Perfectly nestled the street parallel to Harbour Street for local boutique shops, restaurants and bar. The beach and harbour are minutes away!

Local suggestions for eating:
- New Inn Pub - Cosy and welcoming. Across the road from the cottage.
- Samphire - Taste of Kent award 'Pub/Bistro of 2017'. Breakfast, lunch & dinner.
- Harbour Street Tapas - Delicious tapas around the corner from the cottage. Lunch & dinner.
- Wheelers Oyster Bar - Delicious. Need to book but also do takeouts.
- Whitstable Oyster Company - Great food and a lovely beach venue.
- The Sportsman - A must but make a booking. Can walk in an hour following the seafront.
- Old Neptune Pub - Seafront location. Iconic.
- Windy Corner - Great coffee and breakfasts/lunches
- The Cheese Box - great selection of British cheeses. Eat in or takeaway.

Getting around

10 minute walk to Whitstable train station for access to London and St Pancras international station. Very near by bus routes for local Kent towns.

Parking: Daily free on street parking in the adjacent streets. Alternatively, there is a short stay car park in Victoria/Albert St, 2 minute's walk away called 'Gorrell Tank Car Park' across Cromwell Road and take the first left.

Other things to note

The house is on the market for sale so there may be viewings with the estate agent. We will try to notify guests of any overlap.
There is a shared locked bike shed area with next door.

- Pets are permitted, but please clean up after them and do not leave them unattended inside the house. They can become distressed and destroy things!
- Check in after 3PM. No Sunday check ins.

Lovely stay at this apartment. Beach is only a couple minutes walk away. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. Communication was great. Definitely recommend this place.

Whiststable is wonderful and the house has everything you could need, is clean and cheerful and in a great location within easy walking distance of everything

It's a good location for the beach and the town, and the accommodation was nice in itself. The only issue for us was the noise from the pub over the road (as we have a 3 year old) - the Friday night the band went on until 11:30 and was very loud. The wifi also ran out on arrival. But it was still good value for money and a handy spot.

Thank you for your feedback. We are honest that the pub makes noise especially at weekends, which we cannot control even with the beautiful sash double gazed windows & shutters. The wifi is capped per month and has never run out previously. This is in the house book and we ask guests to be mindful of others so are sorry that this happened to you. When Katie informed me I resolved it the same day, so please do message if this kind of issue arises.

Great little place to stay especially if you have an event at East Quay like we did as it is a 5 min walk. Parking a little tricky but perseverance pays off. 2 pubs nearby so if it's hot and you have the windows open it can be a little noisy but all ended promptly at 11pm so didn't keep us up. Good value and very close to shops and waterfront. Thumbs up!
