I will never forget about this trip ! Probably because everything was great! The house is exactly the same as you can see on the pictures. Ola and Matt are really friendly and try to help you in any case. Very available, they are present in the house and you feel more secure. This house is like a big hostel (but not cheap obviously) and everyone is nice with each other ! Vancouver is a beautiful city, considered as one of the most liveable pleace and now i know why ! The house is placed in a residential district, and each house are amazing. Downtown Vancouver is not really far from the house and even if there is no Uber (they will arrive hopefully!), you can easily walk 2 minutes and take bus 10, it will leave you in the center in 15 minutes. I will only suggest you to check the weather before your trip. You also have to know that the weather can change quickly. For example, the sky was smoky and we didn't have the chance to climb Grouse Mountain or see the best view of the city at the top of the skytower. But obviously... i really need to come back to this city !!

Right from the beginning, Ola and Matt were accommodating. My flight landed 4 hours before check in and so I asked if I could drop my luggage off while I toured around and waited, which they were fine with. Matt met me at the door and immediately offered to put my bags aside and set my phone up with the WiFi so I could make some plans, which I thought was generous of him. The house is extremely welcoming and clean. After getting comfortable with the neighborhood and transit, I spent the rest of the first evening in the lovely spa room downstairs. It was very private and relaxing. The location of the house is perfect. It is in a beautiful neighbourhood that is close to major transit lines. The number 10 on Grandville Road (5 min walk) will take you right downtown. I recommend jumping on this bus and taking it to Broadway where you will find a lovely restaurant called 'Salmon N' Bannock', which is rated #7 of all restaurants in Vancouver on Trip Advisor. The number 45 of 45th Street (8 min walk) will take you to Oakridge Mall, which has plenty of shopping and a train that will take you to many major train stations and connect you to the Canada Line downtown also. At this train station, you will be able to purchase a $10 all day transit pass that can be used for the bus, the train, and the sea bus. I definitely recommend it! Highlights of this Airbnb spot: 1) Excellent location 2) The room I stayed in (main floor) was great and easily accessible to the bathroom and kitchen 3) The hosts were great, willing to make suggestions and answer any questions 4) Spa room (hot tub, steam room, sauna) 5) Easy and quick cab ride from and to the airport 6) Very clean 7) Tons of toiletry items available for use (hairspray, lotion, etc.) 8) GREAT PRICE!! Recommendations: 1) Download the Transit App. Open it up and any bus stop and it will tell you exactly when the next bus is coming. 2) Use (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps to plan trips to and from. It made my life so much easier. 3) Have cash for cabs! They prefer it and are quite vocal about it. 4) Buy the $10 day-pass for transit and use it whenever possible, it is very easy! Overall I had a great time and I am very happy with my choice to stay in Ola and Matt's beautiful home! I would 100% recommend it and hope to stay here again.

Overall the place is pretty solid as to what is described. Couple things I'd like to add for the traveller to be aware is: 1) There are no locks on the doors of this room. Maybe I didn't know how to lock it but I believe there are no locks since it was originally designed to be a study room or so. Also the room's door is made mainly of glass, therefore it could be a bit strange and uncomfortable for some people, but there are curtains to cover the big big windows and the glass door! 2)There's a small powder room (half bathroom) on the same floor and a shared full bathroom downstairs. So be aware that because there are people actually living in the house, meaning not travelers and airbnb's, the morning could mean waiting for the bathroom to clear. Anyhow, normal for a shared house. 3)The house is really really big and comfortable. I did not use any of the amenities besides the bedroom and bathroom but I can see how everything was well organized and clean. Then kitchen specially was really great. 4)You might want to bring your own hair dryer, since the one they have it available is very very weak and would take a good 20 mins to dry up a men's hair and probably double for a girl. 5)The lock is a combination lock so it was really easy to check-in and move in and out of the house. 6)The hosts are great as well as the other people living in there! You'll have a great stay!

Initially I was a little skeptical on location when everyone said Kerrisdale was far out of downtown! On arriving, the house was immaculate, and HUGE!!!! My room was lovely, and everyone I met at the house was also lovely! Both Finn and Ola were super helpful and friendly, I didn't get to meet Matt! Location wise, I loved it! It was so simple to get downtown, and was nice to get back out of the city at the end of a busy day! Kerrisdale is a beautiful suburb, seemingly quite upmarket, and I felt 100% safe walking around at night time on my own! And lots of nice places to eat nearby! Highly recommend this accomodation to anyone looking to stay!

Matt and Ola's place is beautiful! It had everything we needed, including a functioning kitchen, large living space and a lovely spa room! Matt and Ola were very quick to communicate and often answered our queries and requests within minutes. The space was incredibly clean and spacious and key code entry ensured safety of guests and their belongings. The space is very close to public transport (about a 5 minute walk) which takes you straight to downtown Vancouver in under 30 minutes. We would happily stay here again! Thanks again for having us!
